ok i know the urkle is clone only along with a couple other indoor purple med strains but i was reading on another canadian site that one med user likes to make seeds from his urkle clones an purple afghan clones an such to keep an send to friends an such so he doesnt loose the genetics.
it is relativley easy to make a female only plant create female pollen then pollinate another female same or different strain an long behold you have seeds. feminised seeds aswell.
why hasnt any breeder doent his with those med strains kinda like greenhouse did the trainwreck
or has anyone growing out there decided to try this an made seeds from their urkle or GDP plants
its an easy process which doesnt really require an degree of skill
il explain for those of you that dont know how fem seeds are made:
if you allow a plant to flower for around 2-3 weeks after its actually ripe for harvest an the so called window has closed it will start to produce what are known as lil banana shapes that are female pollen sacks if left these will pollinate the same plants existing flowers ensuring it seeds
so you remove these pollen sacks an can then pollinate a different plant to get female seeds, its best to use a different plant earlier in flower to help avoid hermies etc.
although with the urkle clone youd have to use another clone of the same plant you could at least do a few generations of selective breeding to try to minimize the possiblity of hermies.
let me know if anyone has or is trying this with these strains. or evne thinking of doing it
i know i would but i live in the uk an cant seem to get clones of those strains as they only around the certain areas of usa so il have to hope someone else does it for me or Jah drops an urkle clone from the sky for me. either though seem unlikely at the moment.
