Ok, so I am a moderate smoker (1 joint or bowl a few times a week) and am 6'0" and weigh 195 lbs. Not fat, but not skinny either.

Yesterday was my 30 day mark and I had passed the CVS test (although the line was really light).

So I went to pee today and was was wondering what the difference is when they don't split the urine into two bottles. It was just one bottle with a temp strip on it.

Does 1 bottle mean less tests vs. them splitting it?

Just curious, holding my breath here...

Was it the employer who tested you? They may just be doing the test at the lab you were at rather than sending it on to labcorp or quest.

The employer sent me to a labcorp location. From what I know, they took the sample to the main labcorp lab in my area, as the place I was at was simply a collection center.

If something was wrong, what could I expect? A call within 24-48 hours or longer?

Thanks for responding!!

Ugh...so I have an offer letter from the job I applied for, but am hesitant to give my letter of resignation to my current employer as I know the recruiter doesn't have my test results back.

Losing my freaking mind here....

As FYI, I took the cvs test 2 times. Once before the test and once the day after.

Both had that really really light pink line...but it's so light that it just makes you wonder!!

Wish there was a way for me to find out what the freaking results were so I can turn in my notice!!

*ok, done venting for now*

The temperature strip is usually only on the collection cup and not the bottles they send the urine in. Are you sure it was on a bottle, not the cup you pissed in?

Depending on the job, a split sample is not mandatory. A split sample will require the urine to be poured into 2 bottles. The split sample just offers you a chance to have the sample in the second bottle to be tested by another company usually at your cost. Even though many use split sample, it is hard to get anyone to send the B sample off for additional testing. Every one from the employer to the lab puts up blocks.

Yeah, my bad they did move it from the collection cup to the sample cup, which I initialed on the seal...but there was just one.

I went to a LabCorp in June. The collector lead me to a room with a bathroom adjoining, locked my purse into the drawer, told me to go into the bathroom and fill the cup up to a certain line (about 1.5 oz) and not to flush the toilet. I walk into the bathroom and shut the door and locked it. Fan was running. I had practiced the QF and being so quiet.. not necessary. The toilet water was blue and the toilet back was duct taped. I poured my sample in the cup while I went in the toilet. Opened the door, he was back in the office... I set my sample on the tray (perfect temp) and he came up and sealed the same container and had me initial it. Then I signed some paperwork and I left. Happily working. Thanks QF.

Hey there,

I was not watched. The collection room had a lockbox mounted on the door that I had to put my keys, wallet, etc.. into and lock it and took the key into the room with me and shut the door.

My toilet wasn't blue and the sink was taped off, etc... When I came out the lady was just sitting on a stool halfway across the room and wasn't really paying much attention to anything.

Just did my test, toilet water was blue but that was it besides the "don't flush the toilet" warning. Didn't make me even empty my pockets or anything like that and the guy was busy so he wasn't even paying attention when I cam back out. I think I am good, passed a home test about 1:45 mins before and about 4 hours after (albeit a faint line on the second one) but if I wish I just subbed, would have been less stressful.
