So, if i store my nugs in one of those orange push-and-twist medicine bottles...would that keep it fresh? Also, i have 2 blunts allready rolled, would they stay fresh if i double bagged them in ziplocks?

Add some brown rice around them, or put a packet or two of selica gel from devices you get those little 1 inch by 1 inch squares. when it comes to smoking if you like it less dry add just a little time chunk of orange peel in their for like an hour, and then it gets moist again

Yes, a spice jar is probably the best. Something air-tight and glass is preferable

If you leave your weed in a plastic baggie for too long many of the trichomes and small crystals stick to the bag. Also, after a while, it can start to taste "plastic-y" when you smoke it.

Bagging anything is bad in the long run. They are not airtight, they have tiny little holes in them for air to get into.

If you have a large quantity, a vacuum sealer wouldn't be a bad investment.

I've been able to bag up to a half p before with the "bags" the vacuum sealer company provides. Completely air tight and will last the long haul. I've always kept large quantities vac-sealed and in the bottom of my deep freezer... underneath all the frozen pizzas. Oh, and it's a good idea to have it all locked up tight.

Anyone ever hid bud behind the light switch plates or other slots like them?

For long term storage I use mason jars, and for the week I separate out 1.2g per day in the thing below. I know plastic isn't the best, but it really helps me conserve and see how much bud I'm using day by day.

If you store your weed in a freezer...it only looses 3-5% THC a year

Marijuana Storage and Preservation
Home > How to Grow Marijuana > Marijuana Storage and Preservation
Let assume you just dried a harvest, or you came into some extra cash and bought a ton of weed. It's going to take time to smoke it all, so you must store the extra. Proper storage of marijuana is critical, due to the fact bacteria will grow on damp buds. Many of these bacteria are quite dangerous, and can cause severe allergic reactions. So let's play it safe ok?

Jars Method
You will need glass mason (or fruit canning) jars with sealable tops. Place the DRY buds inside and seal. Store the jars in a cool dark place, the fridge if you need to. Keep an eye on your bud for mold. If the bud was completely dry going in, you should be fine. Its been reported that the bud will actually "cure" better using this method, producing some sweet smellin buds!

Freezer Method
To properly use the freezer method, you need to have access to vacuum sealable bags. Its very important to remove all air from the bag because the remaining air could dry the bud, and ruin the flavor. The only downside to this is you may have some squished buds. After placing the marijuana into the sealable bag and removing the air, place into your freezer. The great thing is, mold and fungus will not grow in freezing conditions. When it comes time to smoke, you don't need to thaw, just blaze away!
The Downside: All plastic bags carry a static charge, which pulls the crystals off your bud and sticks to the plastic. This means you are reducing the potency slightly.

kerr or ball. Just try to get a mason jar no bigger than the amount of weed you want to store in it, or as close as you can to that.

if you leave orange peels in it too long will it cause the green to get mold growing on it?
