Is anyone into woodworking? I'm starting to get into it..

What are the best woods for making pipes and such?

I'm currently taking woodshop in school and we're making a bookcase right now. I like woods, but my teacher is always wandering around. We call him "captain wanderer" for short. So you like woods too? And you're making a pipe? I'd say stick with some cherry or mahogany. They're pretty good hardwoods. :pimp:
