I had a grow go sour on me back in 1980 due to a male cat I had that just matured. He went on a rampage thru my house and collapsed my grow set up breaking all 3 plants that were about 36" tall and had been growing for about 6-7 weeks I had a vacant room that we kept the door shut and the vents were covered in plastic to force the air into the rest of the house I hung the 3 plants in the closet and forgot about them for nearly a month when I decided to move to a place out in the country. It just so happened it was getting close to Fall and while packing my things I figured better check all the rooms so I don't forget anything and to my surprise I saw the plants all dry and shriveled up. It was that time of the year when good smoke was hard to come by and the dirt weed was abundant and sucked wind to say the least, well I took the plants to the kitchen and I started to stuff them in a garbage bag and it dawned on me ( shit I got no smoke ) what would the harm be to roll up some leaves and see if it taste like the chlorophyll I had smoked when a friend dried the leaves he had pruned while he was growing and I was totally floored. I couldn't taste anything and it had virtually no pot odor that lingered either. Back then as young as I was and not very well versed in growing I chalked that up to being a fluke, until now that is, I have always grown indoors and I do some weired shit sometimes just 'cause I'm bored, so I grew 15 plants in a Rubbermaid tub the 60 quart size totally organic, after 7 weeks I decided to thin 'em out a little and trying to remember the way things were back in upstate New York I tried to replicate the conditions and I seem to have succeeded in my experiment. I culled 8 of the 15 plants and I dried them in my closet for 2 weeks they were not crispy dry like the 1980 crop and they were still a rich dark green in color but had no chlorophyll smell or taste and again no odor from the smoke and a very nice buzz that I don't mind saying rivals alot of the bud going around where I live. I thought to myself I must be having a smeller problem so I go get my Wife whom does not smoke cause of her job but is totally cool with me doing my thing. I have had her knock on my office door at times telling me she could smell it in the hall and could I spray something or turn on my exhaust fan in the window, I call to her and when she comes into my room I had no fan on and no spray and just finished smoking a joint and I asked her if she could smell anything and she said only the smell of cigarette smoke from a few minutes earlier. I think I'm gonna try this again as I have all my steps recorded in a journal and see if I can replicate the whole process again. Can you imagine, smoking odorless weed, that would definitely be a mind blower to be able to walk around smoking weed and no one else would know it:thumbsup::rasta:

The longer you allow them to hang dry definitely the better they get. I like using water curing on some of my stash. It makes for some smooth and non stinky weed too.

Water curing is simple. I use an old cooler. Fill it half full with water. Through your trimmed weed in it. Through a screen and a plate or something to hold the weed submerged. Leave it there for 7 days. Carefully pull it out and put it on a food dehydrater for about 24 hours and its ready to go.

You need to change the water every day! Otherwise, bacteria began to decompose the pot! After 7 days and no changing, all that would be left would be fit only for the compost heap.

I'll give it a try thanks Bro. About the water getting stagnant, I have that under control already, I have Aqua bubbler's in the bottom of 10 - 5 Gal. buckets that I use for watering my plants, have had them running for months with no problems. The water is still crystal clear no odors and no slime on the bucket walls and it tests as potable water per the local Farmers Co-Op. :stoned:

Kudos, Granny! :D

Strangely enough, my yield has no odor at all

I cured kind of weirdly tho,

hanged to dry with fans for a couple days, then into a jar, then hang another day, then back in jars

no smell at all, very very faint, my buddy commented and said it was 'stealth' weed haha

I haven't had any problem with the stagnant water issue but a bubbler would probaby be a good idea.
