More light, less tinfoil! :D
White paint is way better, although you might think that is counterintuitive. The plants look happy, but you are going to need more light in there quite soon.
What is your air exchange setup?

I appreciate your feedback. do you think a 250watts hml lamp will do? i am trying not to spend too much money, i know in some countries you could buy a kit but here it is quite difficult. although our representatives are about to vote for a decriminalization for possession and to grow your own. :rastasmoke:
and how about making a small hole in the top part so the air can circulate, do you think that will work?
once again i really really appreciate your comments. you would not believe the Paraguayan crap they sell on the streets these days!

Peace!

Look! I got them more light and I am showing you the air exchage that i have at the moment. the plants already look much better!

PS: it is a phillips lamp, 250 watts, hml (mercury mixed). given the height of the plants, how long should i wait til floration-flowering?

GRACIAS!

Haha ya i figured. i was just curious how long i d have to wait. in Argentina, it is winter right now so i think them plants are coming pretty good given the harsh conditions. I am also in a furnished apartment so i wanted to have an idea of how tall they might grow and when to start making arrangements!!!!!
thx 4 ur reply and greetings from Argentina!

i agree more lights less foil with CFLs they are not that hot and you can load then right up in there almost touching the plants as they get bigger,, good for all around lighting

thanks! i already purchased the wrapping paper that reflects light so i ll post again later. the only thing i cannot find an explanation for is the following:
everyone says CFL is better than the mercury vapor lamp but since i started using the mercury in stead of the CFL the plants have grown enormously.is there a reason for this? if not then i d switch to the two CFLS i have.
thanks!!!!

:rasta::rasta:UPDATE:CHECK PHOTOS POSTED BEFORE!
So I went ahead and switched the tinfoil for reflective wrapping paper. There are no more hotspots! Thanks for that tip!
We also added the CFL in the new picture. 130 W is the most they will sell in Argentina, unless you are a business. Is the light too close to the plants?

HOW DO YOU THINK THEY ARE COMING UP? It is winter here! :rasta: but i hope they ll be alright

Mercury vapor lamps will give you the ILLUSION of growth, but it is only 'stretch' and it means the plants are growing tall because they do not have enough light. Soon the low leaves will turn pale and drop, and the plant will lose vigor. Keep your flourescent light (s) going.

thank you stinkyattic! that is by far the best advice!!!That makes sense. Will do ;-)

ok, i have uploaded the three parts i have to make my grow box. We ve been purchasing and upgrading thanks to your advice but now we ve come to a point where we know the grow box really defines the growth and quality of the plants. therefore, before making any rushed mistakes, we decided to show you all what we ve got before we even start :) we should finish it by this weekend i guess cuz the plants look like they wont fit anymore.

so based on the current grow box of which you ve seen the pictures, how would you set it up?
PS: the bulbs we have are 2 ecolight actual 60 watt equivalent to 300 and 2 25 actual watt. 60 watt is the MOST that is sold in ARgentina. Would i fuck up by mixing those lamps with my previous mixed mercury vapor lamp ? gracias,:rastasmoke:

12/13 plants are going excellent as seen above. But this one is so weird. and the curious thing is it is growing with so much strength!
Should i kill it? i am paranoid that it might be evil or something and kill the other plants. or is it like reaaaaally good?
WTF, has anyone seen any of these?

thanks for all your suggestions!!:hippy:

Hi Dam, your ladies are looking good!! As for when to put them into flower. Depends on a couple of things. How much room you have, the strain you are growing ect. If you are still growing in that box then yes I think i would start to flower now.
Keep up the great work!!!

P.S. I was also looking to move to Argentina and your post about them voting on allowing growing may make me head south!! I was already looking at properties in San Rafael and mendoza but thats prime wine country and I think if I go futher south I may get better deals..

Anyway, Best of luck and I will be watching to see how you do. I would also be interested in how the vote turns out.

There ya go, they are looking good.
That mutant looking one is just weird- experienced growers cull plants that look like that. If you want to keep it as a curiosity... well, fine, but the post that it is more likely to be female- that's just totally wrong. It's just a freak.

You would normally want to flower when the plants show that they are sexually mature, when the nodes go from opposite to alternating. You don't have a very large space, so you might actually want to flower soon. It's not ideal, but you will run out of room otherwise.

Great i will keep you posted...although it seems like it is being delayed again by ยท"more important issues"
oh and by the way, i think you should go further south. look up "el bolson". the people and culture there are more along the lines of what you are looking for ;-)

they have had he HPS 400 watt for a month now. they are 50 cm tall, and we want to flower them because we have to move out of our apartment :(
will the be ok?
how do you think they are coming along, and will 60 days (approx) do to flower them getting a good yield?:hippy:

08-21-2008, 09:53 AM
depending on the strain again.. some strains will be ok with 60 days and some not so good. ull have to slow cure the bud .

btw i noticed water on top of ur plants leaves , i heard somewhere around the forums that watering the leaves is no good coz the water is magnifying just like a magnifying glass and it will cause burns on the leaves
