hey guys had two plants growing and were growing beautify. Now all of a sudden one just died. It looks as if it dried up but the weird part is that the other plant is bigger and healthier then ever. I just can't seem to understand what happened. Since they were in the same pot could it have been that the other plant which was a bit larger, crushed the roots of it's slightly smaller neighbor? and has anyone ever had a consistency with plants that were all planted at the same time and one growing larger and faster then the other(s) and it turned out to be a male? Thats what happened on my last grow. The one that grew the fastest was male/hermi

any info to my mystery would help
and no i'm not a noob!

And circle gets the square

That's bad news bears from all that I've witnessed.
This one is for the fallen one

damn, i was hoping for a super nice yield! i'll still get something nice cause the taller plant is growing like i've never seen before, but then again my last grow was with CFLs and now it's with a 400W HPS. What is your take on my other question of growth rate compared to male/female ratio?

Within the same strain, you will often see males grow taller and lankier, on average, than females.
Also, the practice of planting 2 plants in 1 pot from seed will almost guarantee one of each gender. Why? Who knows. It's not fact, but I've observed this countless times in my grows and those of others.
