Just switched over to Botanicare and I have a few questions.

My Medium: SunShine#9 (soil less mix, added perlite)

My Ph: 5.8-6.1

I was recommended to use the Soil Forumula Pro Bloom 1.5-4-5 by the person at the shop even though I'm using a soil-less mix. I am about five weeks in and noticed a Phosph. diff. so today I went in to tell them about it and was told I should have been using the Pro Blend 2.5-2-5 for the first three weeks of flower and then switch over to the mix with less nitrogen in it.

Curious if you guys use the 2.5-2-5 for the first three weeks or not. For the first two weeks of flower I was adding Nitrozine at about 5 ML per gallon. Instructions on the bottle say 5-10ML per liter but I was told by a very knowledgeable person at the hydro store to only use the 5ML.

I also started adding 10 ML per gallon of Liquid Karma today. I am curious what levels of a Phosph. additive you guys use with the 1.5-4-5 mix, and how often you apply? I was told just the first and last two weeks, however I added some tonight because of the Phosph problem. Nitrozime is 0-4-4.

For the Pure Blend I'm giving them about 25 ML per gallon as instructed on the feed chart, but on the bottle it says you can push it as far as 45ML per gallon during aggressive flowering.

Am I using too little with the 25 ML per gallon or do the additives I'm supplementing with make up for that? Post your mix, and your medium and let's discuss their products.

I also add CalMag to 1\3 the recommended dose on the bottle, and have had no problems with calcium or magnesium.

Thanks!

Lastly, I did use 15ML of Nitrozime in the recent resi change because I realized I was short in P. I'm seeing slower bud developement with these nutes than I did with my last, and I'm curious if I am short changing them at all.

I use the Pro Grow for veg and 2 weeks into flower.
The Bloom then takes over for the balance.
An additive of CalMag 2 weeks into flower.
Molasses all the way through.

Veg - I start out with 1/2 dose and by second time up to full dose.
Same thing for bloom.
I've been very happy with the results and would not stray to another brand.

I have not tried the sweet or karma.

As a side note, if you have identified a Phosphorous deficiency, it might be a good idea to keep a bottle of PK13/14 around (Canna) to supplement that when needed, plus when the schedule recommends adding a bloom booster.
Also look up 'Pure Blend P deficiency' because this has been noted by other growers as well. Whether they were following the schedule to the letter is unclear.

I put that in the search engine and did not get anything specific to Botanicare, just other deficiency questions. Thanks for the tip Stinky. The PK 13\14 is pretty cheap compared to the Nitrozime that I am currently using and has a ton more Phosph.

The Nitrozime is only 0-4-4, I'm wondering if I need something a bit stronger for weeks five and six or if this will work just fine? Combined with the Pure Blend Pro I would think it's enough.

Also if my memory serves me correct, the local hydro store does not carry Canna products, I believe a friend of mine told me he had to order it off the net. Wonder why! Anyhow, I will look next time I am there.

Go Red Sox!

ive noticed there seems to be two differint labels. one for england (has a big fat orange pistil flower in the label,) and the other that i see all over american online stores has some red flowers on the label. is there any significance to this? the one in europe seems impossible to get shipped to the US too.

The liquid Karma by Botanicare seems to make growth explode. I actually forgot to use it the first few weeks of this grow...I need to keep a journal or something and write everything I do

I only use the L/K in veg. myself , I used it veg. / bloom on a cpl. hydro grows and I swear it increased node spacing :( , like there might be a source of N in it ? I been too busy / stoned to check the M.S.D.S sheet on it's contents .

Now that I have a $60.00 gallon of Berry - "Sweet" I tried using Sucanat - Organic cane sugar instead of Sweet on a cpl. grows and swear It's doing the same thing for about $3.00 a bag .

Write stuff down ? Thats not a stoners nature . :stoned:

Where you been hiding at man ? I/C ? It's so dead here now :(
