Hey everyone, hope your all having a great season. This is my 2nd run at this outdoor fun and my most successful so far

learned a lot from these boards over the years.

Went to check on my beauties this morning and i noticed they're getting holes in their leaves, some of the leaves are ripped up and are missing parts... I know it can't be deer and other furries i sprayed the area full of repelent (i guess i should renew it with all the rainfall lately.)

so its obviously bugs. Whats the best way to keep em away? I read about misting them, should it be with nutes? does that really work?

my plants are about 6-8weeks old and i got the seeds from these nice heads i got over the winter. live in the northeast.

plz halp! :rastasmoke:

Before you spray anything on your plants.

identify your pest first off then from there you can tell what you will need to do. look VERY close at the leafs. There are many pests that could be doing this. Catapillars maybe?

Dont spray nutes on your plants to kill pests... this will not work.. i repeat do not do that! haha :wtf:

thanks for the response bc.

it could very well be caterpillars. I noticed a white mossy looking ball of what could be caterpillar poo or an egg... i already removed it.

i looked online through google and they suggest stuff with pyrethrum or bifenthrin. thats all too expensive for my budget... is there any cheap way to rid of these little buggers?

someone suggested putting vasoline on the bottem of the stem....

i wonder if they're joking or if that actually works...

Fox Farms Don't Bug Me - great stuff, relatively cheap too.

Cheapest places from a quick google search:

Get it Here (http://www.4hydro.com/nutrients/dontbug.asp)

Or Here (http://www.hhydro.com/cgi-bin/hhydro/HH00556.html?id=e5QR3v4h)
