Ok. So my setup is 2 closets, each consisting of 2 "rooms" which makes 4 isolated growrooms. I originally did 2 veg 2 flower but then discovered that I could increase yield by an extra harvest for every 2 months passage of time.
I now have 1 veg(fluoros), 1 veg/flower(under 420W T5), and 2 flower(each 400W HPS). In order to have the space to do this I must use smaller containers in while in the solely veg room so that I have enough room for 3 cycles of plants at a time(2.5-3 weeks in each stage).
I've been using cut off 2-liter soda bottles for the first room and then transplanting into 3-gallon bags for flower. A problem was created since the buds were put straight into flowering right after transplanting from the 2-liter bottle. The roots were not given ample time to fill out the new container as well as the fact that the plants were still experiencing transplant shock to some degree. I essentially have been getting "2-liter buds" under this old system.
I came up with a new idea to run 3-week cycles but to veg the plants under the T5 for a week after transplanting. This way I would allow the roots to develop more extensively prior to beginning flowering.
Has anyone had any similar experiences or have any feedback at all whatsoever? Is 1 week enough for plants that were in 2-liters to fill out 3-gal bags? Thanks in advance. :rastasmoke:
