Just got home from my drug test using the powdered urine. Temps were all good and it was all dissolved...and they let me go into a closed bathroom with no eyes...cool! Couple of uncool things to mention: the tester forgot to do the step where they add the liquid into the toilet to see if it turns blue? It was one of the questions I had to initial off on to say they did it...well they didn't do it...she said "just initial it anyway!" Does this mean that she let me off? Nobody on here mentioned the "blue test" in the toilet...I did pee in the toilet with my own "filthy" urine to make it look like I actually went...good thing it was nice and yellow too..lol. But that "blue test" freaked me out a bit...also, the stated testing amount is 45ml, but they asked for 60ml???? The container I used only had 50ml in it...but yet again, she didn't say anything...think everything will work out for me? I'm more stressed now than before I got in the car to go to the darn test...someone please reassure me!!!

60 ml = 2 oz. From what I've read on here that is the standard amount for a UA

There's no need to double post. I deleted your duplicate post.

Second, do you really think you will be penalized because they didn't blue the toilet? You did them a favor if the form asked if the toilet was blue and it wasn't. They probably like you now LOL.

Some tests require 30 mls, a split sample test usually requires 45 mls. The testers ask for a little more than what is required because people like to short them so by asking for more they can get what they need. Others do it as a scare tactic. THere are plenty of threads and post about this you can search and read about this.

Does anyone know if they check for metal at Quest for an unobserved pre-employment UA? I have a Urinator and it has metal in it. Thought I read somewhere on here that some places check for metal.

No they don't check for metal and they're not allowed to touch you.

Ok...at this point in time, I have a friend who is 100% clean and willing to donate me her urine. However, she is a little nervous about giving me a sample because she is afraid somehow it will get traced back to her (she just took a UA in June for a similiar position). I told her I didn't think that (tracing urine to a person) was possible but there are much more knowledgable people on here then me so I wanted to throw it out there as neurotic as it sounds. Can that actually happen? Is it safe to sub with someone else's urine who had a UA like a month ago? Don't make fun of this post too much :D

Yeah there's a giant urine dipository lab in Maryland:jointsmile: where they secretly keep all urine samples so they can type the dna and put you on a national terrorist watch list.
