Mars, Saturn to become visible
Mon, 30 Jun 2008 22:22:36
Mars and Saturn will be highly visible during the following nights as they draw close to the Regulus star of the Leo constellation.

The two planets will be spotted together above the western horizon on July 10 with Saturn brighter than Mars, which will have a rusty red tint.

Mars will pass Regulus at a distance of 0.7 degrees on June 31 and will near Saturn after 24 hours, eCanadaNow reported.

The planets will be 0.6 degrees apart on July 10 and will then continue their own separate ways.

Jupiter will also be visible on July 9 opposite to the place where the sun sets.

dude, ive been noticing jupiter late at night lately, i figured it was venus though cause i knew it was in view, but then i realized it was only during the day that venus would traverse the sky of the northern hemishpere, but jupiter is quite a site. no wonder the ancient civilzations thought that they were mystical, they would appear and disappear, and be brighter and larger than all the other stars.
