Ideas for a First Timer

Well first off im new to these forums, and this is only my 2nd post.. So Hello to everyone, and my name is Paul.

But back on topic, Im ordering a Homebox XS because that is the only thing i can use in the space i have. As for seeds, im going to order some LowRyder 2's or some BigBud feminized seeds.

What im asking is, what lights should i get, what exahust, fan, ducts? and is there somewhere i can order a Homebox XS full assembled (IE: Exhaust, Lighting, etc). And wheres a reliable, safe, discrete site to order feminized seeds?

Well wheather you need ventilation or not depends o n lighting if you use HIDs which most and I will reccomend, If you use HIDs you will definatly need an exaust along with passive intakes.

I have a basic reflector (euro) with a 400w blv, HPS, I use a vents TT exaust fan, and I have five passive intakes I made out of flexible tubing to prevent light leaks. Some will say get an aircooled/cooltube reflector to hook up to your exaust, this isn't nessecery IMHO, I find having my exaust placed just above the light sucks the right amount of heat out and creates good airflow through the growroom. My temps stay at 21d-27d which is optimal.

That tent looks fine I'd just pick your own lighting system and soil mixes etc.

Try a strain thats more indica for your first attempt, People recomended me mandala for a first shot because they're easy to grow not too tall, high yielders and very resistant to pests and mold.

This is my first grow, besides a few failed attempts in the past (wasn't serious about it, and was young.. Hell i was amazed when the sprout popped out of the ground :thumbsup: when i was that young) I Need to know what size ducting/fan/filter to order with it.

If anyone could please tell me what to order to fit on there ill greatly appreciate it.

hey paul go to htgsupply.com get urself a mini 150 watt hps with force cooling or get the T-5 set up both are around 100 dollars,get urself a 6 inch duct exhaust for ur exhaust,get a 4 inch duct fan for ur intake.than go to attitude seed bank and get urself some lowryders or some pure indicas

oh i didnt see the 250 watt light u were gonna use,i hope it has a flange on the light to force the air through some ducting if it dosent have it i recommend getting a light that does cause the homebox xs can get very hot without a good exhaust

And would a 150 HPS light do it for a few low ryders?
