I'm sure someone has but am just curious. The seed shell is still on the plant, the plants are about a week old and i have 2 plants like this. Should i leave it be? will it eventually push it off? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to cann.com
Yeah the shell will sometimes stay on like that, the pic was a little hard to see but it looks kinda loose, if you can ease it off without hurting the leaves i'd do that, if it's stubborn just leave it and it'll fall off when it's ready.
Good luck with your grow! ;)

It's completely normal, but absolutely do NOT try and help it off. You are much more likely to break off the fragile head.

I don't know I remember seeing a full grown chicken running around with half its shell on its head so who knows..........j/k no you can pull that off or leave it and let nature do its thing!:smokin:

One more question, heres another pic of the one seedling i have that sprung nicely. Its starting to look a little odd on the leaves, some slight curling along with darker ends on the leaves (one end maybe even a little yellow). I'm using floragro 1/4 strength, ph'd water, drip system (3x a day for 30min), rockwool/Rinsed clay pelets, ~70-75 degrees and the seedlings are about a week old. I'm a first time grower so maybe i'm just a little over cautious? You guys are awesome, thanks in advance!
Sorry for the bad pics. :(

Hey, this is my first post on Cann.com mainly because I've been doing more reading than advising cause...well, I've never grown before, reading up a ton before I do anything.
From what I've read from marihemp and here it seems as though you don't want to start nutes within the first couple weeks of growth, they say it causes stress and secondly may cause nute block if you're using too much for such a small plant.
I would say lay off the nutes for a week or two and see
Also, what's the ph at?
Temp. sounds fine
I really hope this helps man! Good luck!
Also, anyone correct me if I'm totally and utterly wrong, we're all here to learn and help
:D

I dont nute till i got 5 sets of leaves...thats just me though, and the seed thing is fine....i use a toothpick to pop off the hull when one of my plants still have it....it wont hurt the plant, it just hasn't pushed it off yet....whats your Ph?

Hey Tango,
Here's a q of my own
For cloning you want the ph to generally be 5.8 - 6.2 right? Fairly high?
Or does the fact of "sativa being lower ph" and "indica being higher ph" have anything to do with the clones?

Thanks for the replies guys, my ph was a little jumpy for a couple days there but I got it under control now at about 6.0. I added in 2 gallons of ph water to my 5 gallon RES to dilute the mix some. I'm thinkin it was from too much nuts and bouncing ph levels. I'm thinkin it should get better now. I'll keep everyone updated, thanks a bunch guys!

I think if you regulate everything a bit more and keep everything stable with no drastic and constant fluctuations you should be fine as long as you keep everything under wraps.
Be patient :D:thumbsup:
Good Luck

I just cloned one of my plants, I hope they make it. They are a little over 2 months old now. Here are some pics.
