Anyone have any dreams of scary dreams or anything of that sort?

I've had some recently about UFO's, Aliens, and my father dying. They scare the shit outta me.

The first one I had, or the one I can remember is that I'm on my back porch, looking at the sky, its very gray/overcast. And I see shooting star looking things, only they're gray/white, and moving around crazily, back and forth/up and down. And for some reason I think nothing of it. And then I start to see thousands of them, and they fill the sky. As I'm dreaming this, I have trouble breathing, and I feel the most scared I have ever been in my life. I RUN to my brother, hes on his computer, I tell him COME WITH ME LOOK OUT SIDE! we go on my porch, and we see them getting closer, and we hear a banging on my front door, Now my heart starts beating unbelievably fast and I have trouble breathing, we run through my kitchen and I see a ship across the street, with a lot of fog around it, and i see the bushes near the path to my front door moving and my brother yells something like THEY'RE BREAKING IN, or GET THE FRONT DOOR, and the dream ends with a big shadow at the front door glass window, and me in my brother pushing against the door, trying to not let them in. When I woke up I felt as if I were dying, I have never been so scared in my life, I tried yelling through out the dream but I couldn't and when I woke I still could not yell, and I felt empty for a moment.

The next one I remember is short because I can only remember one part of it. It is really late our, looks like midnight, and I'm walking out my front door to get the mail for some reason... I walk across my path to the drive wave, and go to the mailbox. When I get the mail, and start walking back to my house, I stop at my drive way, and begin looking at the stars. I'm looking at them for a couple of minutes, and then the sky literally disappears and I see a HUGE jet black metal object, covered with orange lighting that is in the spots where cement would be in between tiles and billions of lights that covers the entire object. When I see it, Again like the other dream I try to yell and run or do anything, but I cant and am so unbelievably scared I cannot do anything, That is when I wake up and feel so fuckin scared...

And the last one, I've always been afraid of bridges, especially ones over water, I'm afraid of heights, and am a terrible swimmer. I'm in a car with my dad and we're driving across a bridge, and the bridge begins to shake and I see it slowly falling apart. We're too far across to turn around and too far across to make it to safety, and we fall hundreds of feet down into the water, (he is semi-paraplegic) and cannot swim, his right arm (his good arm) is trapped, and his left arm (one that is pretty much unusable) cannot unbuckle the seat belt. I get my undone but his is stuck, somehow I get it undone, But we're already at the bottom of the ocean or lake what over water we're over, and I tell him to take a deep breath and try to swim as hard as he can, we leave the car and try to make it to the surface, but he cannot swim and, he drowns as I make it to the surface.

I've had this dream quite frequently same thing happens everytime. When I wake up I'm unable to scream or do anything, and then I cry.

Anyone know if these mean anything? Or anything of that sort. hate these dreams so much:(

Man... what if they actually do mean anything? Would you like to know? When they were only dreams, it wasnt bad enough? If i were you, i would be glad that they were over and you are awake...

I have the same problem sometimes. I get violent/intense dreams where they feel incredibly real. The dreams that scare me the most usually put me in sweat through the night. I hate dreaming about some of the things i do, but i know in the end it's not real and when you get past that you can actually find that dreams, scary or normal can be a fun experience.

I don't know if it's common with people that exhibit antisocial personality traits, but I've never had a scary dream, nor any kind of nightmare or night terror. I've had dreams that would be considered some of the most terrible nightmares for other people, but to me the dreams are really fun or seems totally normal.

I think by mentally preparing myself for the absolute worst things in life carries over into my dreams... so when things go totally wrong my mind has a solution for it or it doesn't bother me.

Like, getting trapped underwater and knowing that you will drown - I never panic because for some reason I can always just breathe in the water so then I have fun breathing the water.

I've been killed more times than I can count in numerous ways (stabbed, shot, nuclear holocaust, etc). I either respawn like in a game, or I peacefully accept it as my fate.

You just need to somehow face your fears or they can overwhelm you in a dream. Try meditating on some of the things that disturb you the most.

Well... i surely have lots of antisocial personality traits, and indeed i have very few nightmares...

Me too! Its a very funny thing when you think you will breathe water and drown, then you breathe and does NOT drown... its fun indeed!

But it doesnt mean that i never had nightmares... whenever i take a "long" break (longer than 3-4 days) i start to have bad dreams... and even nightmares... about weed! I dream that someone found my stash and throw it away, or that someone catches me smoking, or that i wont be able to smoke again... and this dreams REALLY scare me... but besides this, is actually hard for me to have a nightmare/frightening dream... if i only fear losing my weed, maybe i should re-think my priorities... :stoned::rastasmoke::jointsmile:

dreams are like metaphors........think really hard of what ur dreams can possibly mean....back when i was like six or seven I always had the same weird scary dream...My dream was that a multitude of people always chased me I wasnt scared but in a way i was and my heart was always pumping faster my dream always ended by me running into a dead end or if i was running on top of buildings and stuff I ran into the edge and stop and looked behind me and there they were the multitudes of people and I woke up....i always wondered what hat meant cuz i had it way more than ten times now 12 years later i figured it out...... i grew up in the same christian church since i could remember...........i know evryone in that church now that i left these annoying people that i do not want to see keep trying to convince me to go back and this been goin on for a long time probably it sounds dumb but its more complicated ther always looking for me or calling me leaving me messages trying to preach to me so I can convert again or whatever its really annoying and I can't escape them cuz my whole family goes to that church still and they tell the church people how lost I am smokin weed and i need prayer and such ITS F***ING ANNOYING.........

do some research about lucid dreaming and ways to help induce/control it.
I can fly in almost every one of my dreams even if I'm not totally in control, it's awesome.

ok so I'll admit I've had a few freaky dreams that gave me great concern, but nothing I considered scary.... like when I dreamt about growing weed (i do that a lot) but then some weird ufo type helicopter was flying around trying to scan inside my house for the weed.... or a group of stinky retarded people grabbing me all over and drooling on me.... sorta unpleasant but didn't bother me too much.. Then there was the unexpected homo-erotic encounter with Pinhead from the Hellraiser movies (once I even dreamt about fucking the puzzle box).... yeah I'm so fucked in the head it's not funny lol ALL great dreams no matter what.

lucid dreaming is being consious while asleep. during rem sleep, you WILL dream no matter what. Most people dont remember them. Get a book called " Exploring the world of lucid dreaming" you wont regret it, I promise. Imagine, instead of living to 80, you chould live yo 180, without any additional aging, having the ability to do anything, without any danger, restrictions from social laws or the law of physics.

Its possible, by living in your dreams. Imagine, you play an instrument with a orchestra, but you have a major fear of audiences. Now, imagine you dream of something, and realize its a dream. You are filled with the most amazing feeling of freedom anyone in the history of the universe has ever felt. The world you are in, you contol it, you can shape and mold it to your specifications. Now imagine you playing a peice that youve only ever heard once. Now imagine your solo, on stage, against a huge audience. In this dream you realize your dreaming
and then, you play this peaice perfect, and are met with a huge applause. Now imagine you wake up, and go to the same auditorium with your orchestra, play the same peice, and your not afraid anymore, you play it perfectly, and get paid!

This is entirely possible. Because, when we are awake, our multiple sensory inputs are sending the messages to our brain. Our brain then uses these, and previous memories and knowledge to build a 3d model of the world. This 3d model is what you see when awake. When we are asleep, dreaming, this world is created internally, in our own minds, we make this world, and all others.

Well, like i said look for "Exploring the world of lucid dreams"

Peace man, hope you can use lucid dreams to eliminate your fears. stay:D and keep:jointsmile:
