Ok folks, some of you prob noticed my other posts.

New to the growing game. Trying to weigh out the pro's and cons of diff kinds of lighting for my situation

well. I have 3 plants. around a week and a half old but still pretty small because they have been at the window taking in the very little amount of sunlight we get. So I am looking into diff kinds of lighting. I am pretty skint coz i am a student bum. And i rent so nothing thats going to look to out of place

So what lighting would be best suited for me. Should i gamble and go with the led. Or go for the florecent tubes. How much does it cost you guys to run your tubes?.

I only ask because I really dont have a clue which one would benefit me best and call upon all you peoples experience in making my decision.

Cost is the main factor here!

oh, this might help:

The Cost to Run a Lighting System
To get the operating cost per hour for a light, take the lights combined wattage, and divide it by 1000 to get the kilowatts used. Then multiply that number by the amount your electric company charges per kilowatt hour. HID lights will use the number of watts it emits per hour, ie; 600w system will use 600 watts per hour (regardless of spectrum).
(light wattage output / 1000) x electricity cost per kilowatt hour = Operating cost per hour
operating cost per hour x hours used per month = Operating cost per month

Did that help?
