Just wanted to say it is a wonderful day in the Seattle Metro area and it really feels like summer. The early girls are almost done and the two footers are racing to the sky in this weather. Hope all is well and everyone has a moment to enjoy the day. Plenty of top notch medicine in the great northwest!!!!

Yep. There are some good strains in the area. Hempfest is coming in August.

Yeah, if you know anybody who is interested they still need quite a few volunteers. I am on their vendors list and last month they still had a bunch of spots left. Should be fun!!!

so i'm visiting my friend in seattle on aug 14-16 or 17th and we were thinking about attending the festival while there. Is it legal to smoke a joint in seattle? i would like to go regardless but toking with some good people is always fun.

No. Its not legal for even MMJ patients to smoke in public.
If you just use a blunt your probably ok at hempfest but there will be cops around and some are cool and some are not.

Yes it is still "illegal" to openly smoke marijuana but please don't get the misconception that it won't be going on. It is true that there will be officers patroling the crowds but I assure you that as long as you are discreet and respectful you will have no problem blending in with the other hundreds of smokers who partake on the rocks next to the water. It is very seldom citations are even written at this event and more often than not they involve things other than weed. Last year some people by the XIL stage were causing some trouble but as long as your cool your good to go. I believe most of the tickets are actually given to people smoking blunts while roaming the crowd. The scene up here might not be as open as Cali, there is definately just as much to offer...Have fun!!
