Soil and Enhancements

Hey, this will be my first grow, I am getting 3 clones and have a few questions regarding the soil. I went to my local hardware store today and found a small bag (about 60cm long/40cm wide/3cm thick) of "Organic Potting Mix", it had pictures of flowers on the bag as was $4.97. I figure I'll need to pick up about 2 or 3 of these bags for my 3 plants but I'm just wondering if this is the right type of soil for my plants?

Also I am wondering what else I should pick up from the store? I'm planning on getting some type of Miracle Gro but I have no idea what kind or what I'm supposed to get? And I can't exactly ask the store clerk what type of Miracle Gro is best for cannabis.

you could always ask for fertilizer for a fast growing vegetable...or check out the FAQ forum and learn about how you will want two different fertilizers, one for Veg and one for Bloom. Also it will be hard for anyone to tell you if your soil is any good unless you list the ingredients. They are likely listed on the bag. Good luck

Thanks for replying, I basically need to know what im looking for? Like will any organic potting mix/soil with a ratio of the first number higher than the other two (ex: 20-15-15) be good? Also im not going to be switching soils for veg and bloom so in my case I need one type of soil for the whole plants life.

Also once I have my soil could anyone tell me any fertilizers I should pick up? I heard superthrive is good, but I just need a good cheap one that I can mix in water and that I can pick up at almost any hardware store/home depot in canada.
