Obtaining Land Race Genetics

Does anyone here have any experience actually going out into the field and collecting genetics? im looking for good places to travel to and just information in general on how to interact with natives. ive heard that oaxaca is a good place to go to, but its also a rather big place. i dont want to randomly land somewhere there and risk not knowing who to talk to or where to find anything.

anywhere you go just make sure you respect the locals. maybe have some type of gifts(watch, necklace, gems, ect). the only thing you can do is trek around and hope for the best

given the chance, I would go in search of Panama Red, supposedly located in a secret valley, watered with the Holy Grail, and guarded by the Easter Bunny :D ...

i took a trip with my buddy to his house in central america and the first rule i was taught was ur gun is the law and i didnt have a gun so i had no law rule two if u stumble across a mj or other type of field change directions its not natives youll be worring about its guerillas and their cash crops

MJ is actually native to India, so you'd get the greatest variety there. Central America grows a lot of weed too, but it was all imported at some time so the variety wouldn't be as great.
