i dont like wasting nutes down the drain every time i feed my plants. or having to mix them every time. is it ok to hold my nutrient solution for a day or to and use it then? will it hold its nutritional properties, or will it go to shit and be bad for the plants. im using fox farm grow big and big bloom. and thrive alive B1 sometimes.

I wouldn't say this is fact but from personal exprerience, i have a large unused sink that i used to mix up 15l of nutrients in and that would last me weeks, so i don't think it would do much harm. But if anyone knows or has experienced different then I'll be happy to be proved wrong.(also i always leave my water standing for days before watering them)

DEpends on the nutes, and what your mix is.
The general rule is that unless a nute system was SPECIFICALLY designed to be mixed in a reservoir for later use, use it IMMEDIATELY.
Try doing the calculations to got numbers for smaller mix volumes. A plastic syringe, turkey baster, or eyedropper with mL marks is very useful in making smaller volume dilutions. You can find them at the pharmacy or cooking gadget store. I use a 'flavor injector' with the needle removed and replaced by a piece of airline hose to measure small volumes of nute solutions.

As long as it's a high quality HYDRO nutrient it's fine to mix larger batch. But it sounds like you have a small garden, if so do as Stinky and get good gaggets for measuring small volumes to make it easier.

I too would be wary of letting it sit out for too long unless perhaps there is an air stone/bubbler in the solution. Also, many chemicals will degrade in the presence of light or precipitate out of solution over time (unlikely without additional stimuli, but possible).

I use Ionic soil grow and Bloom and mix that (as the instructions say) 7ml per 1litre but all nutes vary the bottle should tell you and if you don't want to mix loads up then do the maths.
