View Full Version : Seedlings falling over and browning?

So i got some seedlings a little less than a week old and they cant suppost themselves, and theres is a brown spot on the biggest one, i just corrected the ph 2 waterings ago, my guess is over or under watering... what could cause this? thanks

Could be damping-off, a fungal disease. Is it new soil? Were you using a dome?
No dome, fresh soil, good air circulation, intense blue light, water LIGHTLY.

I'll try to get some pics upv2m stinky, idk if u saw the thread but the bug bombs worked awsome! thanks. I got circulation and its ocean forest soil, there in .5 L water bottles im gonna replant in 3/4 gal bottles after work if i have enough soil left! I water everyday cause there in such small bottles but im gonna replant and start watering every other day!

Ocean Forest is way too hot for seedlings. Tehy are probably burned from all the fertilizer. Try something that does not have ferts already mixed in, until the plants are old enough to be fed (5 nodes).

NOOOOO! so do they stand any chance? I just spent the last of my money on a dehumidifier for flowering! and some fish emulsion...

Water them HEAVILY with tap water, no ferts, until you see a lot of water coming out the bottom (read flush technique sticky for more info). They may survive; make sure you have enough light on them so they don't stretch more, and that the cups have LOTS of drainage.
