Hi, can someone tell me if I need these?... I am a first timer grower, are they a absolute must to grow?

Or can cannabis grow fine without them?

I will assume you are growing indoors in soil. Adding nutrients will increase the yield quite a bit comparded to not using nutrients.

YES indoors you need nutrients, you can add organics into the soil and just water or you can use a liquid fert to feed. I'd reccomend liquid fert. Getting a good fertilizer will save you headaches and trouble. Some good brands that have been used by many folk are

Botanicare Pure Blend Pro, and Pure Blend Original
Earth Juice
FoxFarm
Advanced Nutrients
Canna nutes
GH (3part or flora nova)
Bio bizz

there are others but these seem to be pretty popular. You might also need epsom salt for Mg supplement.
