hey, i just smoked for the first time about 3 hours ago. i felt tired and my eyes were tired(and bloodshot) but i really didn't feel high. i was just wondering is this just going to happen once. will i get high the next time?

I don't know you might have been high since your eyes got red but it might have been some shitty weed. Did you inhale? When I first started smoking everyone knew me as the guy who wouldn't inhale and so would never get high lol.

It's all good, though. We've all been there. It took me about 6 times before I truly got high. If you're questioning whether or not you were/are high...then you weren't/aren't. You'll know, trust me. That first high is so intense. You'll never forget it. I vividly remember the first time I got blazed. It felt like the stairs we were sitting on was an escalator haha. All I could do was smile. Oh man, good times.

A lot of people don't inhale correctly at first (including myself). Whenever I smoke with first-timers I stress the deep inhale. Keep inhaling till you can't anymore. Like you're taking one biiiig breath in and then out. It's kinda hard to explain through text, but I'm sure you'll get it.

As far as when to smoke again...Um, well, I'd recommend as soon as possible :jointsmile:

Usually first time smokers either don't get high (or THINK they didn't get high) or they get way too high.

I kind of did both the first time. A freind and I smoked some, and neither of us thought we were high, but looking back on it and how were were interacting with other people, we clearly were plenty high. We just didn't recognize the feeling because we weren't familair with it --- it didn't feel like being drunk or anything else we were familair with.

So we went and smoked some more --- still didn't FEEL high. Smoked some more --- still not high. Smoked almost everything we had --- gave up on getting high and hopped in the car. The next thing I know, it's like I was waking up from a dream and I felt really, reeeeeally long, like my legs were a mile long. Then my hands felt really big. Then I was spinning end over end and my vision was all screwed up. I was yelling at my friend, "Oh my God, my feet are so far away!" And he was yelling back, "Just shut the hell up! You're freaking out and you're freaking ME out!" while he was driving along about 5 miles per hour with his faced pulled up so that he was peering through the steering wheel. We pulled over and just sat there, listening to the radio, and every song was so weird, like I was hearing them for the first time. It was hours before we could drive home.

So it is possible not to get high at all. And it is possible to not understand the feeling and think you are not high when you actually are high. And it is possible to get more high than you will ever feel again in your life.

Once you've finished the bowl try not to think about how high you are, or whether you are or not. Just put on some tunes, relax, and let the herb work it's magic. I've also found blazing up on an empty stomach can get you that little higher because of the low blood sugar count which you will already have.

Being high is also a learned thing... usually we dont know how it feels to be high, so we can be high but not to notice it... i would suggest you to smoke with someone experienced on weed... so it would be far easier to notice when youre high... and also its a great experience for the one who is experienced... smoking out newbies is always a lot of fun! :rastasmoke::jointsmile:

The next thing I know, it's like I was waking up from a dream and I felt really, reeeeeally long, like my legs were a mile long.

I had a similar quasi-first experience, only I was walking through a large field -- and through grass that hadn't been cut in a very long time. My friend and I thought that we had either become drastically shorter in a very short amount of time, or that our legs had disappeared entirely... and we were floating on grass. Took us a while, but we eventually realized we were just stoned out of our skulls. Things got easier, and much more humorous, at that point.

i remember the first time i got high, the first time i had actually smoked/inhaled anything. The best part was i took 2 hits, and got high, and was fine with that, then i went to another friends house, and they said no one gets high the first time, and i pretty much looked at him and told him to tell me i wasnt high.

You just have to inhale and you will always get high. Just copy whoever is the highest, they will know how to get you high, just watch what they do.

Alot of folks out there that think seeing a young kid high is hilarious. I got introduced to pot by older family members myself. It probably did me good because I was such a hyper kid but once I hit hs I was alot more chill. Maybe more stupider too.. Can't really tell in hindsight.

It took me like 5-6 times to get high. I kept thinking it was shitty stuff, but it was actually aight. I dunno why nothing happened, and I was really frustrated. I got high the first time when i was 13 , the first time i didn't have alot but deffinatly felt different but some friends of mine fucked me up properly and i mean properly, the rolled two very large blunts and these wern't just ordinary blunts each was rolled with about a 1.7g of seedsless grass and about .7 of a gram of high quality pollum/pollen/polm, me and my friend (also a newbie) eyes blaring red starting a conversation then forgetting it then remembering the answer about five minutes later then i looked out and saw the woods (we were in a park) and i thought it was a big field of weed and then a good friend looked after me the rest of the day allowing me to play with her breasts which i found wonderfully amusing at the time.

The second time i was high me and a friend bought just under an ounce of seedless green and smoked (and ate) the lot in one night i have very vague memories of that night. i remember thinking my friend was dead(half way to calling an ambulance before being told it was a joke).

Is there anyway to get the old high back now it has barely any effect on me even good green if 20 bongs i can smoke all my friends under the table, i once smoke 5ounces in a week and didn't feel high like i used to. It's just worn off I still love smoking just aint as fun anymore i want to have a smoke and be tripping for hours like the old days.

It took me about 4 trys before I got stoned.. I used to smoke weed with my buddy and he would be like " man.. im fucked" and i would not be feeling anything... then one day me and him smoked a joint up in the woods behind are school then went to go get some pizza. As we were eating I looked around the room and reaized.... I was ripped. Everything looked different, everything was really bright,music sounded really weird and the pizza was fucking deadly!
