Hi all, figured I'd log this on here not knowing whether I will be able to continue this hobby for a few more years after this first indoor run. This has been mostly an experiment, but I have been quite happy with the results thus far. I know I'll be lucky to harvest a few grams when it is all said and done, but the joy is in the journey as my professor once said.
Over winter break, a friend and I happened to cross paths with a medical grower from Oregon home for Christmas with a few bags to spare. We ended up purchasing 1/2 oz of Silver Haze, and another 1/4 oz. containing a mix of NYCD, Sensi Star, and Martian Mean Green. Needless to say, it was the white Christmas of our dreams. We recovered maybe 5 - 6 seeds from our bags. I knew that this was the excuse I'd been waiting for to bring the garden indoors.
I do miss the efficiency of the sun in comparison to 128 watts of fluorescent tube lighting. :( They have been growing for approximately 6 1/2 weeks. The first 4 weeks were on 24/0 with the last 2 1/2 on 12/12. They are currently in 4 1/4 gallon pots and they seem to like their homes well enough.
I have 2 confirmed females while the jury is still out on the third plant (but it looks like a male). A fourth plant was a confirmed male and he was eliminated a few days ago. The prize peach is a beautifully hardy Indica bush that I am completely in love with. She has been extremely forgiving and still catches my eye every time the closet door creeks open. The other female is going to be one tall mama. I don't know if I want to keep her indoors yet or try and re - veg her and let the sun give her the real love she needs. But anyways, onto the photos!
