Well, its been a while, but I am 25 days into my fourth flower. I was two weeks into a crop of 5 DWC buckets but forgot to shut the curtain between my veg and flower rooms for a day so I just killed them. I am now flowering one Master Kush plant in a 17 gallon DWC system. It is my old mother and grew for about 4 months before I flowered it. Its like a huge bush. I used LST to tie it down and to the side to grow upwards and it has been doing great. Here are some rather poorly captured pics.

dejayou30, it's hard to believe that is a single plant! She appears to be super healthy, and her buds are HUGE for 25 days into flower. I think I am at about the same approximate stage of flower, and my lil' plant is nowhere close to showing the blooms of your lady. I think mine has gone into re-veg a bit, but your lady is super impressive!
I am guessing you throw her into flower, harvest bud, then re-veg her? And, this is the 4th time you have done so? How old is she? And, how much do you cut her back to re-veg her? Do you downsize her pot and trim back her roots too?
Thanks for the photos and information! Be good out there!

Actually, this is my second generation mother (a clone of my first mother) that I grew out for 4 months (roughly) and took clones off for my third crop. I guess this is my 5th flower because I had some root rot very early on and messed up the light cycle 3 weeks into the 4th and just decided to abort. I have never tried to reveg a harvested plant, but I am a n00b so maybe someday. It was too the point where my CFL's could no longer sustain her so I had to throw her under the HPS. I thought the buds looked big for as far along as it is as well, but I am not getting my hopes up because if all goes well, this will be my first totally successful grow so I don't want to jinx it. But I do like the way things are looking so far.
I added some succanat because xCrispi said it will help with my bud mass and taste by proving carbs as sugar, so hopefully they really explode these last 2.5 weeks! I think I am going to be done growing for a while after this one so I am looking for a large yield. Thanks for the kind words!

Looking good dejayou, but at what point does a noob grower become experienced??....Don't worry about re-vegging if you want to , I'm sure you would do fine, I don't know if it was luck or not, but my first attempt at a re-veg was quite successful and I had no idea what I was doing...........

Looks sweet Deja ,
Really nice buds for as early in as you are .
I just had to kill my MK at 7 wks bloom = Phuckin spider mites . Couldn't chance the other 15 girls getting them too .
I honestly don't know if I see a dif. in yield w/ the sucanat . But in the strains I do repeatedly like the Cottoncandy cross , I do notice a big dif. in flavor . I'm even using it in my current soil grow , not just the hydro . Shhhhhh that's right - I said it . "soil grow" . Don't tell Stinky :D
A break from growing ???? I feel lost w/o atleast a lil something something going on .
Keep up the good work man .

Well, the sucanat apparently backfired. I went into my room tonight to find the plant with drooping and curled leaves. I opened the res to find a nasty smell and a bunch of slime. I think the sucanat fermented or something and the whole thing went sour and I had slime suffocating my roots.
I massaged what I could out of the roots and then cleaned everything and put it in a new res. I put in a little bit of 3% H2O2, some Hygrozyme, and about 200 PPM of nutes so its sitting around 500 PPM. Hopefully it will bounce back, it was doing so great. :(
How long does it usually take for a plant to spring back to life after something like this?

Bummer......so I
Deja I'm honestly not sure......I remember when I burned mine with molassas I had to jump around for days to get the plants back in order.....the ph went haywire if I recall and just kept rising like mad. Mine didn't really droop or anything though.....just the ph went through the roof and I had to watch and adjust it several times a day.
How long has it been since you started the treatment and does the plant look any different at all yet? I'd like to say you should at least START to see it perk back up fairly quick.....within a day or so for sure.

That's never happened to me w/ sucanat before Deja ,
Does your sys. recirculate ? If I remenber right you do have tonsa air already so that isn't the problem . :(
When I add it I put in 1tsp. per gallon of water , I take 1 gal. of hot water in a milk jug and add the sucanat to it and shake the hell out of it so it's way disolved right from the start .
How do you mix it up?
Peace bro.

Crispi - I mixed it according to that method you just mentioned here and in the previous thread. It went alright last time I used it, and the only difference I can think is that my res temps are about 5 degrees higher due to it being summer now, but I don't know if that would be enough to cause that much damage.
WH - I put the sucanat in Friday night I believe, and ran into too much stuff to do and forgot to check on it Saturday and then discovered it Sunday, so it was about 3 days. The res had a lot of foam this morning but not much slime on the roots. The roots are really thick and hardy rather than little stringy ones I usually have so they didn't fall off during the slime removal process. Hopefully they can turn back around for the final 2.5 weeks.

Well after 2 days, it is doing no better and might actually be getting worse. The weird thing is that there has been no slime or anything in the res and the roots look alright, but the leaves keep curling and drooping more as the days go by. I tried to get some more slime out yesterday but there was really none to be found. The roots are really hardy and thick and unslimed, so I am really confused as to why there has been no turn around. In fact, I think they she looked worse yesterday than the day before when we first got her out of the slime. I was really hoping it would turn around but I think I might just have to harvest two weeks early because it just keeps looking worse and worse. :(
I am really pissed that I fucked this up so late in the cycle. Next time, I am just going to forgo the sucanat and just feed straight nutes because it was doing exceptionally well on nutes alone. I guess I just got greedy. Live and learn I suppose.

Deja I'm SO SORRY to hear that. What mistake did you make when you added that made such a difference do you think?
Deja what has your ph been with all this going on?

What is the highest temps they saw - ambient air temp , and nute souloution temps ? PH Hi / Lo also ?
Last time I waterd here I used tapwater and just sucanat because I've been flushing for a while . I checked PH before and after the sucanat was added and saw no chg. in PH ?
I have seen the slight white foam on top in my res. too , but w/ my system - once a day I shut valves n let all my nute soloution collect in the big res. and use a 18volt dewalt drill on high w/ a 5 gal. buck paint mixer to mix soloution up before chkin or adj. PH . My doing this mighta kept mine from going stag ?
Was there any foul smells ?

My air temp is usually from 82-89 and the res temps are usually 75-77. I realize this is a tad high but it has been that way since day 1 of flower and did not have any problems up until I added the sucanat. My pH was normal, around 5.7-5.3 until I discovered the nastiness when it was 5.0. The only foul odor was from when I first found it, but everything is pretty normal now aside from my plant dying.
It looked horrible this morning so I am planning on cutting it down tonight. The leaves are all dead and dried up, turned brown, etc. In other words, I think its completely dead. It sucks, but oh well I guess. I will definitely get it completely right next time.

I ended up with 3.75 oz of 5.5 week old bud. Makes me sad to think what the final yield could have been if I hasn't killed it. The bud tastes pretty green but provides a pretty decent buzz, so it will at least hold me over for the next 8 weeks. Starting a new flower on Friday.
