First and foremost I would like to say thanks for even looking at my log, I hope you like it, I know watching other peoples plants grow can almost as fun as watching your own. But its also great to get advice from people that have a few more notches in there belt.

Also I can only update a few times a week due to limited internet access.
This log starts June 18 2008, one month after sprouting for my main plant, and day 4 of about 10 seeds I am germinating, they are starting to pop up but no pictures of them as of yet

Now on to the log...
These are some pictures I took earlier today of my month old plant that has just started to veg recently. So far no major problems with "her" (from here on out its referred to as a girl....thinking positive here=P) besides about two and a half weeks ago strong wind blew a fence on top of her and she got a little banged up, but has almost completely recovered. Also I have noticed that some of the newer growth Show acute signs of heat stress, (curling up). The plant is a little over six inches tall. it stopped growing up as fast and is now starting to grow new branches out from the nodes.
I am thinking about fimming her but I would like a better opinion on that. also once its alittle bigger I am also thinking about LST. I have no clue what order I should do them In, and even if combining the two is a bad idea. this is my second grow but all I did to those were talk to them and water them. I think its time for me to try some more advanced growing methods

Good luck with your grow and the log. Looking forward to it. I've tried LST on my present grow and I was happy with results. I also tried supercropping (http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/1245.htm) with this grow. FIM has also produced good results in the past. I would suggest trying just one for now.
Did you read up in the Basic Growing forum?

yeah I did alot of reading, and alot of listening to advice from fellow growers. I think I am going to fim my plant tomorrow (possibly tonight) then LST once it has fully recovered. do you think it would be wise to fim it once then do each new stem once... if so all I would have to do is wait for the next node to pop up, and fim again?

as your grow is outdoors you can get away with more topping than indoors, if it's early enough in the season. Topping does slow down plant growth a bit.

I'm no expert by any stretch of an advanced imagination; however, I would think you certainly would be able to fim and lst. As Shov stated, topping/fim'ing your plant will slow down growth a bit, so I don't know if I would fim more than once, as such should produce sufficient offshoots. I would also begin to limber her stem up, by doing some minor stretching each day. Once your fim'ing has really taken off, and new growth is developed, you can look at how best to lst your "lady." (I agree with the positive thinking!)

temujin8, I wish you much luck! Continue to read up, as there is a wealth of advice and experience on this board. I'm certain you can find an answer to just about any question you may have, and if you cannot, someone herein will be willing to provide you case specific advice.

Be good out there!

thanks guys, I should have new pictures up today but i took them on a phone so the quality of the pictures wont be the best but they arnt that bad. I fimmed her about a week ago and new growth is appearing. she has also started filling in, most of the growth shoots only have a node or two.
she is about 8-9 inches tall and nearly a foot across from leaf tip to leaf tip.
Also it has one set of leafs with seven instead of five.

My seedlings are also doing well and have about three sets of leafs each.

sorry about the lack of updates.... and pics my main plant is doing well Fimmed it... It is about two feet tall(not counting the pot) and nearly that wide, still filling in though, and determining sex is still up in the air at the moment... new leaf growth look like preflowers but idk, still like a couple weaks early for that.... I am also dabbling in lst'ingit... not sure if i can find a bigger pot either..... my current pot adds about a half foot to the height and idk what im going to do for a new pot... straight in the ground is not an option yet, but i am debating it.... need to wait for the local foliage to get more overgrown before that though.... this plant is looking great though it has a couple leafs with 9 leaflets as apposed to 5 or 7 although it also has both of those to, also huge fan leafs as big as my hand... i wish i remembered my sd card..... bah! next time i suppose

Looking very nice.

You are doing a great job!!!! All I see in the pics are very healthy looking MJ plants. GREAT LEAF COLOR:)

She is really going to start bushing up on you now! Looks like she has started the strech phase and should be showing pre-flowers any time now.

KEEP UP THE POSITIVE THINKING!!
