id say no. i think they have a couple songs from monster i used to like when i was a little shit. just cant stand all the bitching and moaning. hes always complaining about something. like alanis morsette

i was really into them at their hayday... losing my religion is still a great song ... in fact that whole album is.... so yes

The one REM song I liked was called "Whats the frequency Kenneth" and it was from that Monster album. Other than that, it's all sad bastard music.

check out "Its the end of the world as we know it", "Whats the frequency kenneth", "losing my religion", and those are the only ones I can think of.

Oh yeah, if you like sad bastard music, check out "everybody hurts"

I don't even like REM really, but those are some of the more popular songs.

I like REM but dont think one of the best bands ever.Pretty mellow i liked them much more a few yrs ago.

Like with a lot of bands, I liked their older stuff much better. They were really goodup to the release of Automatic for the People. In fact, I have all their albums up to that point, Murmur, Life's Rich Pageant, Fables of the Reconstruction, etc... They're really good albums, but again, they aren't legends by any means :D

They're all right, but I wouldn't say they're one of the best bands.
