I was wondering what problems cigarette smoke can have on plants. I dont want to post pics or even say too much for legal reasons. Thanks!

i would avoid smoking cigs indoors period. Dangerous. Outside probably not good but i cannot imagine it causing a problem. Herb is a living, breathing, alive, species. And like all of these on earth, cigarette smoking is detrimental to them. Sh!t i'm STILL trying to quite...you wouldnt want your ladies to start coughing and dripping black substances out the holes in the bottom!

You may be thinking about TMV- Tobacco mosaic virus, which affects many species. I was recently chatting with an acquaintance who runs the family orchid breeding business, and asked him. He says his Grandpa used to smoke cigs in the greenhouses like a champ, but never saw a problem. He added that they were crappy processed American cigs, and that he would NEVER dream of letting his techs smoke in the greenhouse these days, but that in general, the more processed the cig (mmmm you known you smoke Mustangs, hahahaha!!!), the less the likelihood of viral transmission. He'd never smoke natural cigars or, say, American Spirits in there.
The other shit, though- formaldehyde, CO, etc- notsumuch. Just avoid smoking around your plants. It's not going to make them happy, and COULD potentially damage them.

I've read that the stomata's of the plant will get clogged if too much smoke is around them and will function poorly in respiratory matters compared to ones without smoke.

too much smoke like a might (hypothetically) fuck up your hardware.... the wires inside your ballast might overheat due to resin, but I guess thats also weed smoke..... but thats really extreme

When I worked on commercial fishing boats, the captains were MANIACAL about enforcing the no cigs in the wheelhouse rule because of their detrimental effect on millions of $$$ worth of electronic gear. I don't know how vulnerable ag equipment is to smoke (probably not very, as it is intended to be run in humid areas to begin with) but it's something to be aware of. I'd never smoke around my laptop- (not that I smoke cigs to start with, but hypothetically)too freakin' expensive to replace because something is all crapped up.

I'm a born-n-bred Masshole but I was working out of Dutch for companies based in Anchorage and Seattle. And I was just recently dating a dude from Soldotna, but he moved back, and that was about the end of that :(

My flower shed (outdoors) is my smoking room. I don't smoke inside my home, so when it get's too hot or too cold outside, I step into the shed. I smoke just under a pack a day, and I likely smoke half of 'em in there, daily.
With the ventilation and the fact I don't blow the smoke directly on them, I have no problem sharing with the ladies. After a few minutes, all smoke is gone. Residue is inconsenquential and at most is minimal. Has never affected my ladies, and they have never smelled or tasted like nicotine.
What I fear, is all that pollution y'all spout from your damned car exhaust and coal fire plants. (friggin second-hand smog...disgusting)

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! That's a good one, gotta keep that in mind.
Yeh I smoke round my plant too, perfectly fine, I think. lol
I thought maybe it would help it to breathe some bad stuff for it to process. lol
Maybe only c02 would be good for it but I don't think it minds.
