At 17 Days, I bought myself a 600 Watt HPS light!
At this point, I was not using any nutes yet.
My grow spot is not enclosed and is just alongside my clothing in my closet.
The 600 Watt HPS is about 36 inches (3ft) from the DWC container.

21 Days since sprout, I begin to see my first sign of problems.
It is now under a 14-10 cycle after being in a 17-7 cycle for the last 18 days or so.
Nutes were started to be used here.
Was using some 20-20-20 Orchid nutrients purchased online for 1$ a lb. It was a blue crystally bag that looked home made. (non-organic)

24 days from sprout
Now it is under a 12-12 Schedule due to time constraints.
As you can see some of the leaves have fallen off due to whatever is affecting the plants.
Also in the last picture you can see how my fan fell on the plants and broke the main node. (Pruned on accident)

33 Days from sprout 11 days into 12-12
I end up with 1 remaining soldier
now my plant is starting to yellow on the edges and still can't figure out why
Through the help of others on this site, I realized that it was probably the nutes as they were not designed for hydroponic systems and since they were for orchids. >__<

36 Days since sprout
I obtained some real hydroponic nutrients:
Pure Blend Pro
Liquid Karma
Cal-Mag
Hydroguard
With this, I used a double sized shot glass to estimate the amounts needed.
A full shot for Pure Blend Pro
a Double shot glass is supposed to hold about 75ml of liquid.
The directions advise to use 45ml of Pure Blend Pro per gallon so I add the rough amount needed.
same with the other stuff

growth becomes Insanely fast!
Probably from the Liquid Karma?
The roots that get covered in black (from the Liquid Karma) instantaneously grow new roots (and fast).

50 Days since Sprout
The 2nd picture shows the leaf that was getting the yellow edges way earlier on and pretty much died, after it turned completely yellow, I plucked it off.

55 Days since sprout
I have been adding more nutes and re-supplying with new water every 7-10 days now
oh yea, forgot to mention, the problem earlier was probably due to my pH fluctuating too much, it was going from 5-7
now its usually around the range of 5.25-5.75

Rough start, but wow it really turned around after you got the pureblend pro nutes and now it looks great. Definitely use that stuff for your entire next grow in hydro.

It's a little expensive for me, I think I'm going to downgrade to some general ferts or maybe fox farms I hear good things for Fox Farms. I spent about 50$ on a package of nutes and i'm already running low.
This grow has left me with some very expensive product haha

I run the whole Botanicare line (pro grow and bloom, sweet, cal-mag plus, LK, Hydroguard, hydroplex, and blast off) and I like it very much. It is on the $$ side but from what I can tell with your grow, it works wonders. I have a pack of Tri-flex that I am wanting to run as well. If you do switch to Fox Farms, let me know. I have their whole line as well but have not used any of it yet.
Nice grow mate!

they look great should be some good smoke. Earlier in veg look like you had some nute burn try to keep nute levels lower for young seedlings other than that you did a great job keep it up.:rasta::rastasmoke::pimp:

67 days from sprout
I finally got my 60x-100x radioshack microscope and with this I looked at a leaf protruding from the main cola and i saw maybe 2-5% amber trichomes and mostly milky trichomes
I also plucked a leaf from the lowest popcorn nug from the bottom my baby
this leaf showed to be mostly milky but still lots of clear trichomes
With this said, I decided to do begin my final flush
I added some eyeballed amount of Clearex Solution to leech the nutrients out my baby
I will harvest 7 days from today!
Note: The 12-12 period should be a total of 50 days on day 74 which is about 7 weeks plus a day.:rastasmoke:

I like your setup there because it doesn't look too confusing or in depth and I just wanted to start a closet setup like you. Did you make it yourself? Looks like you have a seed growing on a medium in some perlite which is then laying in a tub of water and nutrients. You also have the light sitting above it. Is that all you have in there or are the reflective surfaces, fans, and all that other stuff necessary too?
ya thats all I have just light and DWC system sitting in there
I haven't checked PPM's, temperature (although I think its around 70-80's with the light etc) mmm yea it's a pretty simple setup.
But I do have fans, I had 3 mini fans: two focused on the HPS to distribute heat quicker and 1 to keep the ballast cool and to expel air from the area, also I had 1 Big fan sitting in front of the setup to pull air away and out into the hallway
hope that helps!
I had to read so much to do so little, if that makes sense.
PS: I just made a hanging dry box to shade the buds and to block extreme drying

Anyone want to guess the dry weight?
Revanche21
06-20-2008, 06:06 PM
tasted some in the volcano, and it tasted like sweet honey
It might possibly be a cross of Sweet tooth and something else
the source of seeds was from a friend who had a bunch of random bagseed and one time he got a bunch of sweet tooth that was seeded and so I had about a 70% chance to get a sweet tooth x ????? seed.

Just read the whole thread looked good! I would suggest using two 5 gallon buckets with 10" net pots and only growing two plants in your space. I use the totes to veg mine then when I switch to flower I use the 5 gallon buckets works nice.
:)
