Thats just like opies avatar.
Bring that light down lower if you can. Looks like the plant is stretching. side lighting with cfls might help too

also I couldn't help but notice the pot is clear. the roots don't like light so cover it with something to where light can't get in. I would most likely just repot into a 1 gal. though. is there a fan in there blowing on the plant?

Your light will work but not as well as a red spectrum bulb would. You need a light in the 3500k or lower spectrum to mimic the fall sun. The more light you have in that color the better. Maybe a small 150 watt HPS light in a cool tube would work nicely for your one plant. 4000-7000 lumens per plant is what you want to grow a monster.

well this is just my first grow......after this i plan on goin to 5-10 plants...just tryin to feel the water out...i know i wanna go hps but im sure how big i should go....dont want my power bill to sky rocket....

Like I said, aim for at least 4000 lumens per plant. It might help to use mylar and make sides for that shelf so all the light can be used. 150 watt hps won't make your power jump hardly at all plus if you use a digital ballast you can reduce your bill. If you don't have enough light for one plant then I don't see the point of doing 5-10. You will not get much bud from a plant with only 2000 lumens on it. a 600 watt hps might only use 40 bucks worth of electricity a month and supply you with 95,000 lumens (if you use a nice bulb). It is the most efficient light out there. if you have 10 plants then they will receive around 9,000 lumens each and your yield will thank you. If you want less then do a 250 or 400 watt hps. You will need to make sure you have proper ventilation as well because those lights get hot.

First off Clone for Sex to make sure what you have their is a female. You don't want to put all crazy effort into a male. OHHH yeah put it in a POT to..... That's the basics for now you will need a dark room to do the whole 12/12 thing with the lights.... Complete dark. You have been on these boards for how long? JUNE 25th ,2007 What are you messing with us behind that wall is a SOG with 1200 Plants:jointsmile:

where ya gone ?
ahh well my 2p in....
u could also use envirolights as you can get closer too the plant and lose less lumen's (tho hps still give out more than enviro's)
there cheap too run aswell as they like a giant energy saver also cooler as i can hold mine while its been on for 18 hrs and not get burned ! try that with hps :D
lol @ gl 1200 plants in a sea of green under 2, 48" florescent lights total 80 watts
