are there any noticeable visual differences between indica and sativa? one on my plants is 8inches tall and has fat leaves it already smells. the other plant is 9inches tall it has thin leaves and no odor. i hope this helps you help me!

fat leaves indica thin leaves sativa, generally.
short indica, tall sativa, generally.

but lots of hybrids exist nowadays.

will there be any difference in branch structure when they are young? i know they have vastly different bud structure when adult? thanks

but generally I believe the branch formation can be influenced by the distance of light is from the plants, and also genetics.

Sativas tend to be tall and lankier and indicas tend to be shorter and bushier.

I think the best way to tell is by the leaves.
