This is the old man [Gramps] asken a dumb question. I need to know what the coolest temperature is ok for growing my plants. I'm ready to replant them and move them to this out of sight location if the temp's ok. Now don't everybody talk at the same time..............and thanks you guys.

i would say the best growin temps would be between 70 and 80 degrees, give or take. If the temperature varies too much, your plants may end up hermaphrodite. GOod luck!

Checked this morning the temp is 67.....i transplanted and moved them to this new location. When they reach a couple feet or more they will need to be moved again. It will be warmer by than. So far my three bears are look'n good.

Hi Gramps. I like to keep my girls at mid to upper 70's F and they are healthy, healthy, healthy. Take a look at a few pics on my thread "OK to flower with HPS & MH".
A point of interest in High Times mag in the Sept 03 issue is an article titled, "What's the dif?" It discusses the DIFference between nightime and daytime temps. You can manipulate the plants hormones with temp control. In a nutshell, they say that the closer that the nightime temp is to the daytime temp the more internode elongation will be impeded. That means shorter plants which use light more efficiently and produce denser nugs. Of course heating and cooling cost money so weigh the benfits and do your best. It is an excellent article for those who want to maximize their potential by controlling the entire enviroment to their benefit.
Stay cool Gramps! You will be offering your experience here before long.

As a rule of thumb below 68 degrees fahrenheit and mild shock/stress to the kannabis plant starts the lower the temp the more the shock/stress to the kannabis plant.
Good Growing!

When i.ve ben stuck i,ve grow plants at around 15oc in the day (when light is on) and let it go down to around 5oc and somtimes lower at night .
Never had a problem from it exept a bit slower growth.
