can you exhaust the air out? that may help... or if you can run a duct into a room with air conditioning, i wouldnt want to just sit an air conditioner in a closet. I have a sunbeam window air conditoner, pretty cheap, like 50 bucks.

oh yeah, if you can, try cool tubes, that would bring the temp down too. good luck! post picks if you can!

I saw a post where stinky says she uses a window banger to cool her grow...i just realized my grow room is next door to my garage...i figure ill get a cheepo window a/c and have it hang into my garage from the grow room...just not sure what btu rating to get ....the grow room itself is 10x10...and i have approx 12x10 room that is connected by a framed wall ...i plan to seal this room off from my grow...i figure as a supplemental unit the 8,000 btu should do the trick....

They do make truely portable Air conditioning units that sit in the same room that is being cooled.

I'm not sure how it works exactly but I've seen them. They're pretty pricey. Somewhere in the tune of like $500-800 I think for the ones I was looking at a while back.

Yeah I've thought about those little portable units that aren't window mounted too. I've seen them for $300 around here.

Good choice I always say go a little bigger then what you think. I purchased a 12000 BTU portable unit and it was $600 bucks. What a piece of shit did not cool down at all. I returned it and was able to purchase 2 window units and 2 fans for the cost of one of those portable units. hope all goes well with your climate issues

Target has a cheap 5200 btu one in this mornings ad for $80. I think I'm going to try it on my small room. 4'X8'X8'
