Well here I am again! I have been away for the past couple of months during my second grow and the time I spent not attending my babies showed. I'm left with many light weight nugs that will last me until my next harvest but the high is nowhere near what I had my first time around.

Anyways, what happened has happened and here I find myself. I recently moved into a new apartment and found myself with an entire walk in closet to hide my affair! Unfortunately I've had to keep the door open to keep the heat down so prying eyes are privy to a strange orange glow emenating from my room. Oh well.

I attached some images of my setup.

My number one issue right now (besides the timer that doesn't work! I got another one though...) is the heat. Hovering around 85F is too hot for my liking, 80F is usually the highest it got in my old setup. How can I bring cold air into that closet?

My ph is hovering between 5.6-5.8 right now w/ 50-60 ppms of calmag and 70-80 ppms of botonicare's progrow. I am going to add hydrogen peroxide later tonight to help break down any root tissue left over that wasn't scrubbed out during cleaning.

So, it's great to be back and I look forward to your feedback!

*Note, I lurked the forums, just didn't post a grow log

hey man im having the same prob. my temp stays around 82 and im about to purchase this Sunpentown SF610 Evaporative Air Cooler with Humidifier, 3 Speed Fan with Ionizer and Timer, and Whisper Quiet Motor (http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/SF610.html) its cheap and it seems like it will work good. i dont need to drop the temp for than 5 or 6 degrees. hope it helps. there are plenty of units on that site as well. peece

That cooler maybe ok if it doesn't bring the humidity up over 40 percent during budding. 40 and under and you will see much better results.

There are room ac's but you still have to vent out a duct. Then if it's not your house it's hard.

you could just buy a replacement closet door (probably under $50.00), then you can cut a hole in it and run some ducting with a proper ventilation fan.
that would probably drop your temps down into the high 70's without airconditioning and without humidity issues

ya loc nar that thing is suppose to bring humidity down. as long as its under 45 i should b fine. 30 would be optimal. and its suppose to get pretty cold. as long as it can bring it down 5 or so degrees. i should be fine. the door is open at all times too. also the two transplanted flowers look a tiny bit droopy. im cutting them off from the water in the morning. what do u think?>

Cutting the water may be ok. That's the great thing about hydro. You can adjust quickly. If it doesn't work put the water back to them.

Sorry about the cooling unit. I looked again and it is an evaporative cooler which means it evaporates water to cool and is a humidifier not a dehumidifier. Big difference. Look into it more.

I'm mid east coast and a dehumidifier will just barely keep it down under 40 percent.
