Old lady here - Bi-Polar (oh yeah I'm loads of laughs), Degenerative Disc disease and arthritis. I'm sick of being sick not only from the disorders but also from the bloody meds the Drs have prescribed.
How does one go about getting a MMJ cert? And where in the world would one find "it" after getting certified?
We don't have insurance, so if anyone has a MD hookup that's not going to run a fortune I'd really appreciate the 411.

THCF (http://thc-foundation.com/hawaii/) has doctors in Hawaii, and can help you with all of your questions about local access and laws.

Hmmm well I think I'm screwed - I haven't seen a Dr in over 3 years - just couldn't afford it, only a nurse nurse practioner and that's not acceptable per the first page.
Thanks for the info though. Maybe one day I can get pain free the natural way instead of downing all this man made-chemical crap.

Go to one of these free clinics (http://www.freemedicalcamps.com/vcity.php?stateid=HI) and GET TREATED! Your health is more important than your pride.

LOL Believe it or not I didn't even know about those clinics.
Will def give it a check, especially as I'm sitting here sick as a dog. The Vog set my allergies and asthma off, now lungs are full of fluid. Oh boy - relief at last.
Can't tell you how much mahalo I send your way. In this day and age not much kokua seems available in people's hearts.

It's been so bad for me that my nose is bleeding, it's gotten crusty and sore (sorry that's gross I know) - I look like the nostril is rotting off :(.
Next question, is where can I find a cigarette pipe? Mine's gone walk-about, I'm in Pearl City, don't drive a lot so I'd like to find some where close. I don't smoke much - one hit quitter, as I only want the level to ease the pain and give me an even feeling.

Right now I've hit the old toiletpaper roll and aluminum foil trick. I know just where you're talking about - grew up in Wahiawa, graduated Leilehuah so I'm really familiar with the lay of the land.

One suggestion - contact your area AIDs support group and ask them if they can recommend a MD who will look at your health certs from the VA and possibly recommend for you.
Sorry - but that's the only thing I could think to suggest.

Good luck again.

Have you thought about growing? If all you need is a small amount, you could potentially get away w a 2-4 plant perpetual grow. There are also a number of folks who will gladly help you understand the needs of a ganja plant...
Best of luck to you:jointsmile:

TA Chronisseur, but to grow you need seed - and seeds I don't have :D. I'm too afraid of losing everything to order offline. We're getting to retirement age so the idea of the Feds knocking on the door to seize everything sorta scares the bejezuo outta me.
For the life of me I can't understand the whole Illegal issue - drunks scare me a lot more than smokers ever have.

i have similar concerns and my plan is to rent a PO box at MailBoxes of America or similar business. there's one near me and it will cost $65.00 for a year and with 24\7 access, that's where i'm gonna have the seeds sent to. i plan on paying with a pre-paid Visa.
btw, you should try to hook up with Storm Crow, she has done a huge amount of research on health related issues.
here is a link to one of her threads, and really she know her stuff.

This wont help though, to get a PO Box, you have to give your home address that they keep on file, its a federal law that they have to follow now, so being anonymous with a PO Box doesn't work any longer.

The same thing applies to any mail box that is used to send or receive U.S. Mail. I have several mail boxes at various mail box services across the country for various businesses that I own, I also have 4 here in Hawaii at different locations, none of them are in a Post Office. It is the same everywhere because it is a U.S. Postal Regulation. For them to be able to offer mail boxes to the public, they have to follow the same regulations.
Also, the if you have a package sent to a box, and it is intercepted and they determine that there are drugs inside it, they will still place it in your mail box, watch it, and wait until you receive it. Then arrest you for receiving it. This has happened a couple times already in the past. Normally its for larger quantities, but be aware that its a possibility.

So sorry I didn't answer - DH loaded a virus (bless him LOL) had to reformat the drive, lost all bookmarks, just now refinding (and rebookmarking) the sites.
Did you see the smoke from the ridgefire last week? Some kids sent the whole hillside ablaze. Nice, that + vog, wonders for the neighborhood *sigh*

That really sucks, I had that happen to me last year, lost everything. Thats when I switched over to a Macintosh, dont have to worry about that ever again, lol.
Yea, I am also a volunteer with Red Cross, so whenever there is a fire like that, we usually end up providing temporary shelter for some of the residents, in a situation like that its usually people with breathing problems near the fire that cant stay in their home. I thought that kind of thing only happened over in the Waianae area, lol.

This is like the 4th time he's jacked the system. Bless him. My Mac was stolen, nice huh. We were living in Ewa Beach at the time. Sold that home. Whole area was getting hit. Never got a bit of the property back.
WOW Kudos to you for volunteering. About as thankless a job there is...but oh boy when someone *needs* the RC they sure start to appreciate them.

Thanks. I have no idea where Im supposed to get the "extra" time from, I am Archbishop of the church, director of the Honolulu ASA chater, I run 4 businesses, plus volunteer with the Red Cross.
Now I am trying to fight the DLNR on their Beach Wedding Permit policies that they just started and are trying to change on November 20th. Looks like we will have to fight them in federal court over it for their violations of both the U.S. and Hawaii Constitutions and religious discrimination. Thats turning into a full time job in itself.

Oh my stars you must be run off your legs :(. I haven't seen the DLNR wedding issue - but I've been sort of in a cave. *Finally* am diagnosed with fibromyalgia ... sad thing is I've probably had it all my life, the symptoms have been present (tender muscles, chronic headaches/pain, etc.) and it took 51 years for someone to figure it out...not to mention all the tests. Crazy!
Do I need to bring the full report to get the card or ?? Don't even know where to start, really. My current, diagnosing Dr is a pill, she has me on psych meds for the FM and won't give me anything for the pain. Nice lady. Plus DH is out of town for a week and I don't know his friend well enough to ring him to ask him if he can help. It's been a really bad summer for me.
Nuff grousing though - I'm just *finally* happy that a dr was able to diagnose what was wrong with out any BS about age, being a woman with psych problems, etc LOL

I would take the whole file, just in case.
Here on Oahu there are two offices with physicians who will write the recommendations if they feel its necessary, but I recommend Dr. Jiminez at Medical Marijuana of Hawaii (http://www.medicalmarijuanaofhawaii.com/). His office visits are about $100 cheaper than the other doctors are, and he is a patient himself. He is also one of our ASA members and will be giving you our business cards when you go in for the visit, lol.
He s a great doctor, I switched over to him last year, and this year when I re-registred, I didnt even think about going to anyone else. He is the best.
