East Coast Nugs n Jugs... and CONGRATS TO IMAGE REAPER!!!!

East Coast Nugs n Jugs was this past weekend at a private estate in New England. I'd say there were about 70 attendees, and the event lasted nearly 3 days.

It was organized by a dedicated group of growers from New England, who put a lot of effort into it, and did a great job.

There were presentations from a glassblower, an attorney, and 2 different hash makers- one presenting the bubble method, and the other making Butane Honey Oil. There were also MMJ activists there answering questions and networking. Outkastt made cookies that had people drooling first because they looked so tasty, and later because they hit so hard. TOH and Delta Force manned the smoker and the grill, damn boys, you probably never want to flip another burger again in your lives I'll bet! And American Grower cooked us some Fall River soul food- littleneck clams with potatoes and chorizo, mmmmmmm!!!

There were representatives from all up and down the East Coast (Big shout out to the Philly peeps; it was an absolute delight to meet you) and a whole slew of growers flew in from Cali and a few other scattered locations. The largest contingent came from the SouthShore/Rhode Island region- y'alls get DOWN there, I already knew that! I was disappointed that there were only a handful of chix at the event who didn't come with silicone attachments, but the ladies who did show up as guests and competitors were real chill. The females made a good showing in the judging, too. Outkastt (3rd place) and the woman whose name I didn't catch with the surprise 5th place entry repped hard for the XX crowd though, and every female who entered a strain actually placed in the top 5.

We smoked the finest herb that the East Coast growers had produced this year, ate lots of food, both medicated and non-medicated, enjoyed the fishing on the private pond, networked, and generally had a GREAT time.

I also learned to ride a dirt bike awful fast, because I didn't want to leave my car there and borrowed a cheap Chinese 200cc enduro bike from a buddy in the next town as my ride to the event, hahahaha!!!!! There were 4 strippers there too, very high end and put on a show in the evening. Those boots, and the fake tits, set against the rustic backdrop of the great green north, were incongruous and good for a laugh. And the DJ who was there was fantastic and so was the hip hop artist- both definitely into the underground/old school stylee- and they put on a great show.

The judging was the best part after all the food. There were 2 celebrity judges; Danny Danko from High Times, with whom I got a chance to chat, and found to be a very down-to-earth and humble sort of fella, and who is definitely a great supporter of all things medical, and ChemDawg, who is a legendary figure in the Northeast breeding scene. There were 10 other judges, picked from the guests who had not entered strains.

It was like bud boot camp; each judge had 17 numbered but unlabelled half-joints in front of him and a numbered card to make notes on various aspects of the herb, and there were a couple nugs of each entry being passed around for visual inspection. When the judges were finished, the rest of the joint was passed to the crowd around the table, of the people who had entered.

The herb was EXQUISITE, and plentiful. The winners were:

1 Joe Schmoe [ICMag] with Burkle
2 Dr Longbottom [ICMag] with The Shire
3 Outkastt [ICMag] with Original Blueberry
4 Stinkyattic [Canncom] with NorCal Daddy's Girl
5 This one I did not catch; the bud was entered by Dr. Snow on behalf of his friend, who had grown it fully organic, and it was only her 2nd grow EVER. It was excellent.

That's right! I entered NorCal Daddy's Girl, grown in soilless in 90+ degree temps using a 4 year old jug of Botanicare Power Flower (chemmy as hell but seems more stable 'on the shelf' than the FF equivalent), with no flushing at the end...

And it was good enough for 4th place out of 18 entries.

Congratulations again to The Image Reaper, whose work was good enough to shine through my mishandling in Stinky's House of Plant Torture.

It's not that I have a big head; I just have enough catering experience to do that shit up RIGHT!! Yum yum! I did polenta, crepes with wild mushrooms, stuffed potato skins, caramels, potato salad, caramelized garlic mashed potatoes, quesadillas, and something else that I've already forgotten. Oh well.
But stoners are a GREAT crowd to cook for either way!

It's not to be elitist, but to keep it secure and safe, and also to avoid party crashers who could potentially cause trouble that in other cases would just be a matter of having them removed by security, but in this case, 'removed' guests with intoxicants in their systems are considered security risks. Of everyone there, not one single person was out of control, although I did get my tushie whacked with a ping pong paddle by another female partygoer, lol! Everyone was moving reaaaal slow by the end of the night, but damn what a great way to prove how easygoing people stay even under the influence of VERY high levels of cannabis! I wish the mainstream press could have seen it. Even I was just FLOORED by the feeling of community.

I use her mostly for alleviating depression :( ... 'NorCal Daddy's Girl' is roughly 50% Cinderella99, 25% Northern Lights, and 25% G-13 ... extremely stable and tolerant ... in soil, she follows the C99 tradition of a 50+day flowering period, but she tends to go another 10 days, or so, in hydro ... don't ask, beats the hell out of me :D ... she is VERY forgiving, can't mistreat her enough, it seems ... great citrusy-aroma, could use her for air freshener :thumbsup: ... oh, did I mention she's as potent as all get-out ? :stoned: ... she is a real high-flyer, you won't sleep with this girl ;) ...
I've offered her for free, to a couple seedbanks, with any profits going to MPP, but no takers :wtf: ... (can't even GIVE her away :wtf:) ... looking at possibility of 'Seedbay' when I get more 'arranged' ... real busy trying to survive after the big fire, right now :jointsmile:

Can.com has company picnic, many happy campers stay over to enjoy NE foilage! Found in NE countryside from obsure puffs of smoke that spelled S.O.S. from what was later discovered to be-some odd self rolled cigarette things!

Man found sleeping on couch with big smile and re-runs of Gilligan's Island playing: Rt. knee on pillows with ice. When police ask his name he says: "Image rrrrrrrrrh" and what do you want?"

I/R replies: "Oh, that's my new hybrid seed, want one?"

Picture, of a young woman taking off in a canoe with a bunch of bushy plants with name tags streaming, "S.O.S. by Stinky and Image Reaper! Trophy between her teeth!' First Place 2009!!

Then a picture of man walking to squad car, handcuffed to his own crutches. Followed with a parting shot of the man out-running the police with his crutches. Police seen busy picking up seeds that left a trail behind him!! lol!!! Total knee=no canoe. Good passenger though!

Vegas, not much water there (for camping), but not too far from some awesome places to go camping: Hince: Lake Mead!!! Would be a gas, wouldn't it. Probably get cheap tickets to L.V. from anywhere,since it has been solicting people with the visitor population down.

i made it to the vegas nugs & jugs about this time last month and what a fine time it was! a mansion off the strip was rented for the weekend for the 50-some of us there and nearly everyone brought their own stash to be shared and critiqued altho trying to judge all those strains in a single evening was impossible so the actual winning of the prize didn't mean much beyond it sure was great fun trying! i'm talking dozens of one or two-toke strains under one roof...not to mention the bubble that was brought and some also brought trim and rag buds for the bubblebag demonstration...instant hash! even a little lsd made it to vegas...but i missed out on that and only found out afterwards...which explained some of the odd converstions happening saturday night that i happened to overhear...lol! and this mansion had it all...indoor jacuzzi, tennis courts, a large pool with a 'cliff' (manmade rocks) to jump off of instead of a diving board, and just about everything else one would need to hold a huge-ass party except for the people and the party favors! i'm telling y'all...TOH & O (our most excellent host and hostess...from icmag) really know how to sponsor a party! people from all over the country either flew or drove in and heard talk of a few were from across the pond!

can't wait for the next one...! i'll be there no matter where it's held...but vegas really did work out great for this kind of deal and can't imagine any place in this country being any better! there's so much to see and do in and around vegas plus the now-liberal attitude of the town makes it even more appealing and safer than in the past...so i'll be lobbying for las vegas one more time!!!

and in the meantime...no need to wait for the next nugs & jugs...we can do that any time! i'm sure we can get enough people together to rent a houseboat and head out on lake mead for a long weekend. it'd cost no more than 200/person for EVERYTHING if we only got 12 people together and rent the large deluxe model and if more show up we can rent as many houseboats as we need! or we can always do the rent-a-mansion thing...both cost nearly the same for same amount of time but with off-season now here houseboats would even be a tad cheaper...

You deserve all the credit man . You created something that is almost indestructable . :thumbsup:

Look close at the burnt leaf tips in the big bud pic. = MiracleGrow Bloom and a big blast of Kool Bloom because I was a lazy bastard :( . No checking P/H or PPM of runoff throughout the entire grow either and they still flourished .

It took about 3 hrs to manicure the 5 plants due to the fact I couldn't stand lookin at the burnt tips on suck pretty girls . This is THE most trichs I've seen on anything I've grown out in the past 20 yrs .

You were right too , Smelled a lil like Juicy Fruit or something when being manicured , 1 plant smelled strong of this all along .

Stealth - No idea on veg time . I dont keep track . I top everything I grow at about 14 inches tall , once the new growth tips are as tall as the orig. top they get flowered . I only keep track of days in bloom . They started out in 4oz dixies -> 18 oz . Beer cups -> 1 gal. pots -> 3 gal. pots -> and finished out in 5 gal. pots .

Were gonna have a bad ass thanksgiving once it's all finally cured in a month or so .

Update: ..... I'm not gonna post up 'NorCal Daddy's Girl' seeds online, at this time :wtf: ... they are gradually making the rounds, anyway ;) ... I plan to put out a 'seedplant' next Spring, but until then, I don't really have enough seeds to justify the retail process, and accompanying risks ... besides, another backcross never hurts, anyway :thumbsup: ... good growing, friends :jointsmile:

50-55 days flowering period, very easy to grow, forgiving, light feeder ...she's a real 'high-flyer', psychedelic, spacey, etc., ... body effects are pretty much just some 'rushes', NO drowsiness ... outstanding for treating depression, which is why I love her so much :thumbsup: ... plus, she doesn't put my ass on the couch (I'm already lazy enough) :D ... two phenos, her 'citrusy/flowery' pheno, and a more normal-'skunk odor' pheno ... they seem to only differ in aroma, no other significant differences, that I've seen (OK, the skunky pheno does make me horny, LOL) :wtf:, like what doesn't ? ... and, surprisingly, she's a very good yielder, I can't wait to do her 'outdoor' sisters this Spring :D
