topping/cloning ?

i have a plant that around 2ft with about 10 or 11 nodes and im concerned about the amount of aircraft flying over my area and was wondering where/how to top my plant. also, from the topping is there a way to use that clipping to find the sex of my plant because my plant doesnt naturally start showing sex until august according to this helpful thingy here:http://www.marijuana.com/gallery/data-stuff/b6d767d2f8ed5d21a44b0e5886680cb9/1257_p17846.swf
here are some pics of my plant im not sure what type it is but i kno its supposed to be sum fire:jointsmile:.its leaves look like those of a sativa, wut do u think?

Look at the picture in the center and just cut the main stem right above those large fan leaves near the top.
