cops say i committed a felony

well today was going good until like a few hours ago. i parked my mothers car (which ive been driving all day) and out of nowhere this cop comes out to my drivers side door as soon as im about to get out. he puts me against the car says the inspection sticker on the car is fake, im like i dont barely ever drive my moms car so i dont know shit about it. so he's like 'your blaming this on your mother' im like no i dont know anything about it (truth), so he 'so your ok with letting me charge your mother with a felony', i was confused and decided to admitt i put the stolen sticker on the car because he kept on threatening about arresting my mother. so the pig frisks me and of course finds some weed and my bowl, know im double fucked. he told me there were going to send me some info to go to court about a possible felony (a fake car inspection sticker) and a appearance for possesion of pot. im not worried about the weed cause it was only a little bit and i can talk myself out of getting in trouble with that, i think. im however a little nervous about the felony thing, i mean i confessed but i really didnt know anything about the inspection ticket, the only reason i did it cause i was a little high and he kept on trying to make me feel like i had to admitt to it in order to protect my moms. fuck im confused.

Cops try to do that shit all the time. Sounds like a real douchebag. The key is, though, to have one story and stick to it, no matter what.

One time I got pulled over and the cop said something like "son this car smells like a hash factory." and he also said "Son, you're TOASTED."

Luckily I had no herb on me.

The cops asked me about a hundred times "Where's the pot? We know you were smoking, you might as well stop lying." But no matter what, I said "I have no pot, and I wasn't smoking any."

I'm telling you, if you have a good story and you stick to it, cops can't fuck with you. They think they can play mind games cause you're stoned. Well i was fuckin ripped that day (it was april 20 a couple years ago) and the cops didnt find shit, so they let me go.

Also, on a side note, if you've been drinking and you get pulled over, NEVER EVER EVER take a breathalizer test. EVER.

i dont know the cop said thered be something mailed to me about showing up for a court appearance, but know that im completely sober i think he may have just been trying to scare me. ill just wait and see if i get any papers from the courts.

I know it's tough when a pig is grilling you, but the best thing to do is just keep your mouth shut. Cops are trained to turn up the heat and indimidation and get people to incriminate themselves. You don't have to answer any questions for the cop at all. If you open your mouth you should be asking the pig the questions. Ask him if you are under arrest or further detained. If not then leave. Once a cop has given you a ticket, their time with you is finished unless they are detaining you or arresting you. No further investigation is warrented unless you give them reason for it.

yo juggalo- thats a strange story. when i was in college, my pal and i were driving in his mom's car down in attleboro and we stopped to get gas. some cop comes over to us and asks us about the "fake" inspection sticker. upon closer look, this kid's mom had colored the sticker to whatever the new year's color was. I was shocked. His MOM did that- it sounds almost like the same story, although we didn't get busted or anything. he just wrote a ticket. did you ask your mom where/if she got it inspected? i wouldn't be too worried about it she did it on the up & up- the garage that gave her a forged sticker should be blamed. tell the truth and see where it leads. good luck!

I know this may sound really stupid, but what is an inspection sticker? My dad's a mechanic, so I know a lot about cars and laws and shit, but I've never heard of them. Maby, it's not a national wide thing, and we just don't have them in Minnesota. I dono.

You have to bring your car for an inspection by law in my state, I don't really know how often but they hook it up to a machine and test some shit...if it passes whatever standards set you get a cetain colored sticker with the date you need to get re-inspected...if not you get a nice 'failed' sticker, and you have to fix whatever the hell is wrong. These go on your winsheild.

In Maryland we don't have inspection stickers either. Just have to get a vehicle inspected to get the registration done. Then you get a sticker for that.

I'm pretty sure inspection stickers are for emissions testing..

and I'm also pretty sure that the cop won't do anything to you. But here's a tip for next time:

If your mom doesn't smoke, and she's not in posession of weed AND a bowl, and you think she's reasonably capable of handling herself, then DON'T ADMIT TO SOMETHING YOU DIDN'T DO. It's terribly unlikely anything will come out of this, but in the future you should never admit to something you aren't guilty of. If you admit it, you're guilty in the eyes of the law. Plain and simple.

I'm sure you love your mom and want to protect her, but the cop wanted you not your mom. He wanted the stoner kid he knew he could harass, not an adult woman with a good story to explain the sticker.


Also, fuck the police.
