different brand pH strips...

I have two brands of pH strips

pHion and some from Indigo instruments

pHion
2 colored squares
range 4.5-9.0
.25 unit increments
use for saliva or urine

Indigo Instruments
3 colored squares
range 1-14
1 unit increments
from a science store

My pHion strips read my water in the hydro solution at 5.5 while my Indigo strips read a solid 6, maybe even towards 7...

solution? should I get a electrical pH meter?

digi meters are great

truncheon style wands are the best style of digi meters

in my eyes its best to have both a digi and i prefer the general hydroponics liquid drops, but a high tech and low tech is best to compare readings

I use a Milwaukee to test the PH, and i have tried others plus the drops, all of which give different readings its very confusing.:(
