When to stop germinating?

I started germinating some seeds, and i didnt check them for a day and the shell is off the plant and has a root of about an inch. What should i do when i plant them outdoors?

no worries, you could germ for a week and a half max or so id think since the seeds just burning off stored energy, once their a few inches its probably time. Iv seen a few that someone accidentally germed for a week and they were a good 4inches when they were un paper toweled.
