First off, I wanna say when I smoked, I loved it.
I haven't smoked in over a month. Lost my hookup yet again. For the first few weeks I called lots of people and none of them could have gotten me any. Now I gave up looking and I don't care anymore.
My memory has improved a lot. I guess the short term memory does affect SOME people.
I don't feel as lazy anymore.
I get about the same amount of work done, maybe a little more.
Oddly enough, since I quit, my headaches have gone down and my wallet is a lot fuller :)
I've found something productive I enjoy doing instead of smoking weed at nights. I read books. Doesn't get me high, but I enjoy it a lot. That, along with a sexy new lady friend I got(;)) I'm pretty busy when I'm not dealing with work.
I respect each and all of you for toking please respect my decision to quit after all who knows, I might start again in the future.
Peace out and happy toking:thumbsup:

Really Pie Man I'm trying to be nice but. Why would we care if we are all connoisseurs of good weed. This is not Narcotics Anonymous.
I think you should share that in one of those 12 step programs... LOL:jointsmile::jointsmile:
Well all joking aside:
Good Luck everyone needs to take a break

I completely respect your decision man. I give up for a random couple of weeks frequently. I get a sober buzz and find myself pursuing alot more endeavors. I think alot of people hype up its good effects too much and this is probably a equal and opposite reaction to being harangued for smoking and having its ill effects hyped up by the otherside.
Weed opens us up to new thoughts to a point. But anyone who says it improves them for the better because they smoke everyday is seeking a justification to do so.
Despite this when im smoking I usually do so daily, I see this as a minor pleasent vice, not a life improvement.

@ greenleaf, we'd care because it's good to hear that people can give up bud for a month and feel great? Whats wrong with sharing that?
@ the OP, hahah I definitely know what you mean - weed costs a lot of money which you don't really realise until you quit for a while. Anyway good 4 you bro

Did you read my FULL post?
Just because you ended your post positively, it doesn't negate the negative things that you said in the rest of the post.
There's really no reason to question someone's reason behind posting something. This is related to cannabis, it's a good example of how easy it is to stop smoking weed, and it's a very respectable thing to do to abstain from anything tempting.
Anyway, to the op, good luck, and just think, if you do decide to start smoking again, you'll have no tolerance.

People really need to learn how to be civilized on the internet.
Just because he stopped smoking, it doesn't mean he hates weed and all who smoke it. He even asked kindly to respect his choice, and I think he deserves it. Denouncing his personal choice to make a post about how he's proud of himself for doing this is disrespectful in my mind.
It just kind of ticks me off that people are telling him that he doesn't belong here because he doesn;t smoke.
I mean, look at our moderator Birdgirl, she doesn't smoke, but she's no less of a good person for it. In fact she's an example of the negative effects of cannabis, and she still belongs here.
Sorry for kinda putting you in the spotlight Birdgirl (if you read this), Im just trying to make an example.

where's the joke dude?
your post is nothing but a put down, an insult to the cat who quit and an insult to Christians.
have you ever heard of the expression 'live and let live'?, how about 'what goes around comes around'?, or better yet
'it's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think your an asshole rather than opening your mouth and removing all doubt'.
if all you have are negative comments, maybe it's you who needs to go somewhere else.

Hey really that's great you stopped smoking weed. I've done it myself and I have not posted a thread on it.
Were does this fit in a MMJ Patience for Life Thread.
Are you a MMJ Patient?
I'm not, It's not legal in my state but I do qualify.
If you are saying your conditions are better or stable since you quit then that is great and you should tell people what you were smoking....
Now if you are just another pothead who takes a break..:wtf:
Well then:
So like I said if you are a MMJ patient then you have good news please let us know? Also let us know what your sickness is.
We all need to take a break once in a while.

that never tempted me, whenever I quit smoking :wtf: ... I was the world's biggest drunk, too, and you can line all the drinks you want in front of me ... wouldn't matter, if I don't drink, I don't drink ... it's something that demonstrates adult behavior, it's called 'self-control'

I hate to be so vulgar, but what the fuck are you talking about.
Why do you say he gave up weed for free base. Even if that is just a joke or something it's a stupid thing to say.
Also it sounds like you're trying to imply that all people should smoke weed, and that its a bad thing to not smoke.
You say you would give credit to an MMJ patient who doesn't need their meds, but you wouldn't give credit to just a normal smoker that doesn't want to smoke anymore. Why is it such a terrible thing for someone who is not an MMJ patient to quit smoking weed. Whether he is an MMJ patient who doesn't need his meds or just a pothead taking a break, it's his decision to quit, and you shouldn't judge him harshly for doing what he sees fit with his life.

Hey not trying to be hurting no feelings here. This is a crazy post to begin with. WHAT YOU HAVEN"T TAKEN A BREAK?
What the hell is going on here it's supposed to be a interesting post what is he the first ever to quit? We are all going to post and talk about a guy who took a break.... That is interesting no jokes allowed!!!!
Sorry for the jokes you know the whole twelve step thing and the others!!!! Well still don't know if he is MMJ and YES that does matter. Because he would be hurt and relieved but from marijuana or other reasons. What are his aliments and how do They apply to marijuana. Can he help others with his ailment?
Now on the other hand is he just some guy who took a break like I did and probably anyone on this site who has smoked over the last 10 Yrs or better?
Well like I said in my first post good luck PIE:jointsmile::jointsmile::jointsmile:

I don't know about you but I would take it offensive if someone that I've never met before said that I was a free baser, while I was trying to talk about a serious issue.
Also, whether or not he is an MMJ patient is absolutely irrelevant to the subject of this thread. He quit smoking, he is no longer a medical or recreational user. It seems to me that the point of this thread is that he is looking for support, and he wants to tell of his own experience, which is just as valid a topic as anything.
For future reference, it would help others understand what you mean to say if you looked over your posts for grammar/spelling errors and such. (I'm not trying to insult you personally about this, I was just having trouble reading your posts)

Listen ASSHOLE why don't you go to his house and hold his head while he is convulses, sweating can't eat and vomiting. Wait it's just weed It's not like heroin or some other hard shit? OHHH NO MARIJUANA the gateway drug....:wtf::wtf:
He needs a support team to take a break from weed? Get a life ride a bike take a walk smoke a cigarette go fishing, Sex is always the best for me. Maybe you should go play with his balls. ASSHOLE ););). ;);)
This is a CANNABIS.COM Lounge Friendly Talk Lounge for the MMJ patient and life. THAT"S ON THE TOP OF THE THREAD. YOU KNOW THE NAME DOES MEAN SOMETHING. That's were my issue comes into play if he is a MMJ user.
You want a support team go to A/A N/A or good old Mommy's shoulder. No sympathy from me to a non MMJ user who is just taking a break. Did you ever see a dope feind kick it? Or infant crack babbies? Those people can not do it on there own.
Why post on a site about weed and how it helps others cope with life and you come in over the top saying I quit ARE YOU A MMJ?
I'm not angry. I'm sorry I just can't stand stupidity.
LET ME LOOK FOR SUPPORT AROUND ALL sick WEED SMOKERS that feel better after they smoke.:wtf::wtf:
Go onto Canagriphic with that shit. If your not a MMJ and you will get laughed right off....
People Places and Things ever here that saying B4. I'm done your blocked what ever your name is.
Pie Man has not answered the question or come back to the thread in over 5 days. He must really need support.

We DO NOT put down others' religious or lifestyle choices.
We DO NOT call each other assholes.
We DO NOT make fun of other members' dietary habits.
I am INCREDIBLY disappointed to have seen this. PieMan, enjoy your break, sounds like you are so far, do what you gotta do, be happy, don't listen to the haters.
