i have done 3 grows now and am wondering what everyone else is getting in dried weight when doing a soil grow with 2.5 - 3 foot plants. i know there are many factors but a am just curious to see how i am doing compared to everyone else who might be vegging for a month + a week or so from clone.

I've only harvested 1 plant in my short time growing, but it yielded 56 grams of buds, and about another 56 grams in trim and budlets that I turned into cannabutter.

This plant was vegged about 7 weeks and was from seed.

Should be fairly equivelant to a plant started from clone and vegged for about 5 weeks or so.

I've never vegged a seedling that long. Usually by4 weeks they're 12 to 14" tall. But I will say seedlings exhibit such vigor that it's not unusual to see big yields from seeded plants. My experience has been from a low of 22 grams to a high of 91 grams. Also much is determined by strain.

I usually veg for a month, maybe a little longer depending on height. Flower for 8 weeks usually. Have been getting 3 ounces dried and cured off of about 3 to 4 foot plants.

I feel it's important to list your lighting setup as well.. Since CFLs won't produce the same amount of bud in the same amount of time as an HID watt equivelant..

With that said

Vegged under CFLs for 7 weeks.. and been flowering under a 400 watt hps

Mine was vegged under cfl's and grown under T5's.

pretty impressive for only 12 weeks total and using t5's. how many watts did you use in your t5 setup?

Just curious.

Your benchmark is 0.5 grams per watt of HPS in the flower room per month that the plants spend in flower. Anything over 0.4 g/w/m and you are showing solid skills.

Stinky's right about the benchmark. However, those that achieve those yields are not common. So Please don't be dissappointed if you don't reach .5gram per month. Iwould venture to say that the average is around .2 to .25 gram per watt per month.

Mine has 16 4 foot bulbs in a 4X8X8 room with 5 plants.

30 bagseed plants from clone, LST with 4 week veg and 6 week flower yielded 5oz dry.

30 bagseed plants from clone, NO LST with 4 week veg and 6 week flower yield 7oz dry.

Veg under 3 Sunblaster T5's
Flower under 2 x 400HPS Hortilux bulbs.
Soil, Botanicare grow and bloom, molasses every watering in flower 1tbs/4L.

(gonna try 100 clones next, hopefully it's directly proportionate)

well i harvested and out of my 6 babies i got 9 oz. under 2000 watts of 6500k cfls i wish i had a camera to show how much less money you need to spend when it comes to ur energy and light costs.

Couple of thoughts...

It may cost less in electricity to bring to a sucessful harvest, if using cfl's, depending on how many you use and your light cycles. Less heat, and thusly less need for aggressive ventilation are an added bonus.

I wish my camera could show you the difference between a cfl grown plant, and one onder HID. Even if the plant is the same overall height as the cfl plant, bud density is greatly improved, which ultimately provides much more wieght and bulk. Once you see and feel the comparison, there is no comparison.

Having said all that, my wife likes the 'lighter' buds. She doesn't like having to break-up the rock hard buds, and they don't burn right if not properly cleaned. So she get's to clean the lighter 'secondary' buds and I spend half a day cleaning the rock-hard main cola's.
