3rd time, take a look....

this is my 3rd grow, it is a re-veg from my last grow
same box as last time but i have perfected my lights, i have them
in a cool tube cfls

here are some pics of the plant doing plant things

whats it made of?

its a rubbermaid box with foil
i glued a picture frame glass to the top
cut a hole in the bottom that u can see, so i can access the lights
there is a small vent on the other side that takes in air
the dryer hosing is hooked up to a computer fan which vents out

i really can tell a difference with this then in the past

i think its cool how if u look at the nug i left on it u can see the
branches growing out

I love the cfl cool tube......I was thinking of building a simalar design but using high temp plexi-glass.....The reason i still havent built it yet is....I think the CFL's already put out limited lumenes....any obstruction will just reduce the footprint even further.....But i will be watching to see if you see a difference...But once again Macgyvor....two thumbs up on the cooltube.....see u soon.

thats the reason i used glass i wanted something that would distort
the light as lil as possible but i will keep everyone posted with pics

when you say re-veg did you just apply lights to your previous harvested plant?

can ya go into detail about what you did? i'd be interested in it and appreciate your time :)

exactly that... i am too paranoid to order seeds so i use bag seed
so when i find a bad ass plant i wanted to keep it, then i found this
one i named it regina she is a skunk during veg and early flowering
she smells like a skunk and late flowering she smells like a sweet skunk

so when harvest came around i just cut and left the last 2 nugs at the bottum

i gad another grow that i actually made it go dormant for a month
(just water it once away and leave it under a low key flow tube)
it wont grow just stay alive
i then gave that one 2 a friend and if u want to see how that is going
look for txcronic's grow it says first grow northern lights and his
big plant is one of mine that he re-veged

do you know if its possible to just leave the fan leaves and trim off all the buds?

do you just put it back under a 18/6 or 24/0?

how long does it take to start producing new leaves?

all fan leaves die off in flowering due to the lack of nitrogen when
making buds, so probably not... my new colas grew out of the buds
and from under the buds

and i always use 24 hours

and it can take from 5 to 10 days before u see any signs of new
growth and when u do see the new growth it don't even look like
pot lol

Sorry twitch...i missed where u stated you put picture frame glass as the top of the box.....even makes this a better idea...did you have high temps before enclosing the lights......My box goes against conventional wisdom.....everytime i add another CFL my temp in my box drops....I cant figure it out...go figure.....84F max with 2 lights....77F max with 5 lights.now thinking about adding 2 18" flourescents....but once again i love the idea.....might enclose my rubbermaid cfl's in glass....keep up the good work...

it must be just me lol, my cfls get hot
it is over 120 degrees in the box where the lights are
but right out side of the glass its 80

yea the fan wouldnt do much good if the area wasn't
sealed off

the reason i really had the idea to make it was because the
cfls i use for flowering get hotter then my cool blue veg ones
now i can put up to 12 lights in with out it cooking my plants

nice man.just stumbled on 2 this thread and i gotta say! your the first cfl person ive seen with a air cooled reflecter on some cfl's.pretty cooool.i will follow your thread.

i hate to say i had to terminate the grow i live in an apt once a
year they spray for bugs... i lost track of the months and forgot it
was coming up

i was upset because i wanted to see how this re-veg turned out
but yet i wanted to try some new seeds i got a bag of some mixed
seeds from a grower and i haven't had a chance to pop any
so i am excited to actually work with some good genetics this
time around
so this isn't the last of me
