Salvia Divinorum Users?

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying some Salvia Divinorum. Has anyone here had any experience with it, the pure leaf and the extract? Good or bad, dosage levels for whatever state you got into.
I know it's not a party drug, or to be taken to lightly (according to the hype anyway), and I'm a bit of an old hand at acid etc so I don't think I'll be freaking out on it. Just wanting a bit of direction.

Dont smoke the leaf. You will need several bowls if you do. Buy an extract, they go a long way and actually work. You should probably have a sitter just to make sure you dont do anything dumb. Youre gonna need a bubbler/bong, cause the smoke's pretty harsh. Also its nothing like acid, you basically lose complete consciousness and enter a dream realm. Maybe its different for others, i donno, but have some fun.

im a very experienced user, i smoke alot of salvia. its unlike any other drug, and its extremely powerful when used right. for your first time i would smoke 5x out of a bong or any waterpipe. make sure to keep the lighter on the extract the entire time you inhale, and hold in your hit for around 20 seconds.
if you like what happens, you can move up to 10x or 15x, and eventually try the mindblowing 20x. as for dosages, 3 or 4 hits of 5x and you will be tripping a good amount for a first timer. when you move onto higher extracts, one hit does the job. the reason you should use a bong is because for the salvia to have affect, it must be at very high temperatures and so the lighter must be kept on it the entire time you inhale, this makes the smoke very hot and harsh, so water is very nice to cool it down. since i dont like making very long posts, i will post an experience or two in a minute. oh yea, make sure you have a sitter because you will be 100% disconnected from this reality.

ok, so heres a few of my favorite tripps i've had from salvia divinorum 20x:
-i was a planet wearing a cowboy hat, and my couch, my sitter, and my tv became planets too. we were all part of a revolving galaxy. there were about 10 planets in total, and we werre all talking and laughing and shit, like good friends, i found this totally normal since i thought i was a planet. the things we talked about were so strange and random, i could not even begin to explain what went on, it was just to mindblowing.
-this tripp was off of 2 hits of 20x from a 2 foot bong. i didnt feel anything at first, and started thinking that it hadnt worked, but then i realized that i was on top of a mountain, and was surrounded by lots of other mountains. next to me was a woman wearing a green robe, and she was laughing histerically, at what i may never know. to make a long story short, i basically just spent my tripp on top of a mountain, laughing with some woman in a green robe. wierd shit, but really fun and enlightening.

oh man salvia is awesome

but if I may add, use a butane/torch lighter...you need to get the salvia almost white-hot in the bowl to release all the good chemicals. A waterbong is almost a must for smoking salvia as well, and when you smoke it have your sitter there to grab the bong when you fall over (you might want to arrange a couch or bed behind you when you smoke for exactly this purpose).

and its definitely not like anything else, it is the closest to a spiritual journey I have ever felt myself. and do it in the dark! dark and quiet for best results.

Ok, ive been reading all the posts on this "salvia" which i have NEVER heard of, but then again im 16 and i live in a weak ass state like MN. :) anyway, so once you smoke this salvia, you just lose grip with reality and pass out and see shit?.. i dunno, all this fun mind blowing talk about it makes me want to get some heh

Ok, some really good advice there people - A few issues though. What if a sitter is not available? I realise that I'll have the crazies after the smoke, but in my situation there's not someone who I could really depend upon to sit me. Is there anyone out there who's taken it without.

I've done it without a sitter a few times. As long as you're in a safe and comfortable place you ought to be okay. Just don't go trying Horse Killer alone in the dark.

While many, many folk on here recommend a bong and butane lighter, i've gotten MIND WARPING results from just a regular ol metal pipe and a hardy bic. I'm sure one day when i decide to purchase a new bong, my last one was thrown away by mom dukes AGES ago, i'll smoke it that way. but I doubt there is a mucho difference between bong/butane lighter and a pipe/bic. As long as you hold the smoke in for 20/30 seconds and burn all the leaf( extract on leaf that is ) that should do the trick, should it now fellow psychonauts?

yah i tried 22 extract from a smoke shop and i have to say i was disapointed

slight trip but was gone really quick

i hope to do it again and smoke aloooot to see if it works better

my first and only exprerince with saliva was with 20x i had 1 big hit and went into a differnt world filled with pink trains and pink people doing the wave it was truily very scary and very mind opening.....how is this shit leagl anyway its much more dangous then weed i mean i dont want it to be illigal but i dont understand why it is its so fuckin powerful

I think it is legal for 3 reasons. first it is a sage (like the stuff put on food) and it looks alot like other sages and also is not really native to the US. Second it really was not used extensively for psychedelic reasons, by non-shamans until recently. so it wasnt popular until after the drug mania craze of outlawing and lying. oh shit I forgot the third reason. fuck it just be happy that it is legal
