Let me say first I have new theroys about alot of stuff let me tell you the story.

I live in a port city and Tuna fishing is very popular so yesterday morning I lefted with my buddy and went out in his 35 foot boat(very very nice he told me it was worth $750,000,it's name is 'red cape' i'll post pics when he sends them to me from trip)into the Gulf of Mexico took us a while till we finaly reached the first fishing spot so we fished for about 3 hours then slept till night(Tuna fishing is better at night simply becuase you can tie lightsticks on the line and it attracts Tunas)so night came we rigged up and started fishing.Around 11:14 p.m. we started hearing this odd bizzare sound so we looked around then this bright ass light lite up under the water and the water started spinning,BTW we about 180 ft.from it.SUDDENLY this oval shapped craft come flying out and hovered about has far up has a skyscrapper and sat there :what:.

I was so stunned I dropped my pole overboard!!!It had red lights spinning around and it was like friggin mystical!!!My buddy started cryin(panzy)and then without warning it shot off in the air faster then I have ever seen anything go!!!!After it lefted schools of fish was snagging our lines. So he ran in got on the radio and yelled "MAYDAY,MAYDAY UFO SIGHTING AT SO AND SO CORIDANCES!!MAYDAY U.S. COAST GUARD DO YOU READ ME?"and then he came running out and yelled "LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE I AM GLAD YOU CAME"at this time I was still staring at the sky amazed. So he ran into the cabin loaded his gun and the U.S.C.G came over and siad "Are you in distress? Is the UFO still there?"and he by this time was preparing to pull up the anchor when it APEARED AGIAN!!

By this time I am yelling "DAMN YOU HAD TO FORGET YOUR CAMARA DIDN'T YOU?"and he was like "F*CK!!!!!!!!!!!|"So I ran and told the U.S.C.G "Yes it lefted but now it is back"and then I heard "It's gone agian"from my buddy he ran in there with me and we took off.

About 5 miles off of a small island many pepole swim at 2 cutters met us and 1 let off 3 U.S.C.G and 1 island police and they boarded us,well guess what?We weren't the only ones that sighted it a couple at the makeout point saw it and one officer seen it we was alteast 85 miles from the island!!!!So one of the cutters escorted us in and the other went out to were we was.

WHATEVER THESE THINGS ARE,ARE AMAZING JUST THE MOVEMENT IS AWESOME FRIENDS WE ARE NOT ALONG,I AM SURE OF IT!!!

Is there any Navy personal on this board? The reason I ask is becuase my friend is sitting next to me(Petty Officer) he siad it is NOT uncommon to see the small ones we seen out at sea.He siad he was in the bridge when a 'boagy'came on screen and several flew out of the water and hovered around his cruiser!

He siad his Admiral and Commander talked of one that scared his boat becuase they taught it was a torpedo until until it missed the boat and disapread.I asked "How do they know it was a UFO"he siad back"Becuase torpedos dont make the electronic in the boat go haywire and are not 4 miles wide.":S1::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

i belive you man, i have heard stories from friends (good friends) that they saw a ufo.. my uncle and his father saw a ufo, me and a fue friends saw a ufo out camping once.. it had all differnt colour lights flashing and was moving at a decent clip (nothing ive seen mooved this fast) lightning speed, and if that alone isnt enough proof there is a video of a real ufo somewhere on the internet.. i dont know if it's real but it is interesting :p there is something elce out there for sure !

I definitely belive you man.. I am not surprised at all.. Most UFO sighting occur near larg bodies of water.. Why I dont know but it's hella crazy how the govornment is still attempting to keep them hidden from our society..

Dude are are not crazy! A friend and I saw this UFO when we were walking to my friends house at night. It was really low, couldn't have been more then 200 feet above the pine trees around here. It was a bright blue light and made no sound. It went across the road and then disappeared in the blink of an eye. It was crazy and we couldn't stop talking about it for weeks. Also in case anyone is wondering this is before I smoked weed so no I wasn't high.

This is crazy your story is parralell to alot of others experiancing the UFO sightings around water, or USO sightings. If you can get a copy of that pic post it, the story is cool

As far as I'm concerned our lovely cannabis isn't a hallucinogen and I've been token like the rastas since about 12 years of age. So please people lets not act like that would affect our judgement or what we see. At least not like anything like that..

On another note I don't want to be insulting to the original poster by disbelieving your statements. However I don't believe any other race of intelligent beings is even capable of making this far. I'm big on astronomy and you have to understand the sheer distances we're talking about. The nearest star to us is lightyears away and even if that solar system itself had intelligent life its just not practical for ships from there to come here for casual or even scientific voyages to our planet. These beings would have to have significantly long lifespans comparable to our own in order to even survive an endeavor like that. The reality of what we're saying is mind boggling and very humbling to even consider what it would take for something like this to happen. And for those who would like to argue the speed of the craft in question. Think of the speed of a bullet and how you cant even see that passing you by and even by the slight chance that you do thats nowhere near the speed it would take even leave our atmosphere let alone lightspeed which is 186,000 miles per SECOND and that translated into miles per hour is 669,600,000 and the distance a light-year covers is roughly 5,865,696,000,000 miles. To put that into proportion for everyone the circumfrance of our own earth is only slightly more than 24,000 miles and the speed it takes a space shuttle to leave our atmosphere is roughly around 23,000 miles per hour. Not to mention that even in space itself the faster you want to travel the energy required to propel something inreases exponentially. And for anyone who wants to argue the worm-hole theory, first figure out the time-space continuum THEN configure a fool-proof blue-print of an object capable of creating and sustaining a worm-hole long enough to travel to travel to a destination. THEN and only then will we debate what the possible effects of you travelling thru this wormhole. Such as radiation, being anatomically rearranged etc etc...

I agree about the difficulty of traveling between stars and how unlikely it is that another race of beings from another star have come to earth. Space is so vast that the odds that they would visit this planet among the billions and billions out there are very low. And TIME is so vast too that it is very unliley that they would happen to visit NOW. Even if they did pick here and now, like you mentioned, the energy and time involved to travel through space even to a very close star are unimaginable.

However, all of those limitations are rooted in our current understanding of physics and engineering, which are not complete and constantly changing. We routinely take for granted things today that would have been impossible a hundred years ago. In fact many of the things we do today probably could have been PROVEN to even be THEORETICALLY impossible not very long ago. So while I agree that what you say is true for our current understanding, I'm not so sure I agree that it will be true in another thousand years (or another million or billion). These technical problems may possibly be overcome by a very advanced extraterrestrial species who has had a few thousand years of experience with advanced physics and engineering. Who knows?

People do see these unexplained things pretty often. I'm hoping that now that every phone in the world seems to have a camera built in, we can get some good pictures of some of these things and maybe have a shot at understanding what they are. When more than one person sees something unlike anything else we experience in normal day-to-day life, it's hard to just discount it, and it makes you wonder. You can't prove they are or aren't ETs, but I do believe people sometimes see amazing things that can't be explained, and I don't think it is all just hallucinations and mass hysteria.

Maybe these flying saucers are being used by gnomes: http://boards.cannabis.com/current-events/156142-south-america-has-gnome-problem.html

So true, you can't say it is impossible just because we humans haven't figured it out yet, because everyone knows we are just the most intelligent beings right? LOL!

Dude, i believe what you witnessed. Every word from your mouth however! i freakin dont believe in green men yet this notion intrigued me...i notice that UFO sightings are reported but they don't land and they seem to avoid us si whats the deal?....dun dun dun eureka! what if UFO is actually a time machine driven by humans from future??? i shall ponder abt that further :weedpoke:

First Let me say to think that another race of beings can't do it because we have not figured it out is a bit conceated. If there is a race that is a million years older then us on the universal scale of planetary extrabiological organs go they would be a million years more advanced. Who is to say they have not figured out a way to bend space or creat wormholes. science is doing that now.
And now let me ask...to the origianal poster.
After the event took place did you experiance missing time and lastly did your butt hurt?

I wish I saw a UFO and I agree with the last poster, that we are not alone and that there HAS TO BE races far more advanced than us for whom space travel across large distances would seem like mere child's play.

interesting, prolly would be a better story if you used grammar. No schools where you live?

Since this is not a formal letter, nor an interview or anything else that NEEDS proper grammer - whats the point?

Also, Mr grammer officer - I beleive to start a sentence, with gramatical correctness in mind, you need to use a capital letter - example; "Interesting,"

You also should not shorten words - example; "prolly"

And the question, "No schools where you live?" Should actually be "Are there no schools where you live?"

.................................................. ...............

Yeah... It's not nice being "called out" over grammer on an internet forum, especially by someone else who is just as bad.... Pot calling the kettle black eh?
