I'm growing 4 cheese plants under a 400w switchable light. I plan on keeping the light as close to the plants for best results. I'm just struggling figuring out how long I will veg them for to get the best yield possible. Let me know what you think..

cheese plants? never heard of them. I assume it's not a plant that grows little itty bitty cow utters that you then milk to make cheese. I use a 400w hps and I recommend not putting to close to the plant or you will burn the hell out of them. as for yield, let em grow till 4 or 5 nodes or branch spots are on the main stalk. then top em. I swore I would never grow another plant without topping it. for me the difference has been night and day as far as yield. Would anyone else agree that topping will give you 25% to 50% more yield?

good luck with the queso:thumbsup:

Cheese aka UK Cheese is a rare phenotype of Sensi Skunk originally found in England and propagated as a clone-only strain ever since. There is a seed line available now as well.

Veg until you see the nodes switch from opposite placement to alternating placement- the stem will start to take on a zigzag appearance. Also, if you top, veg at least 2 more weeks after topping. Cull the males as soon as they show and pot the females up a size so that they will finish at about 1 foot of main stem per gallon of soil.

I haven't tried topping my cheese plants yet so I don't know how they will react. Although I do pinch my Moms and they are fine. Your yield will depend on how long you veg. them. If you do top, you will have more veg. time and bigger root system and better yields.
