Well a lot of people recommend about 3 to 4 gallons per plant. Iā??m running something similar as you. I have 6 lowyryder diesels in about 6 gallons of solution. I doubt these plants will get much bigger than 20 inches. If you planning on keeping your plants on the small side you can probably get buy with a 10 to 20 gallon res.
Iā??ve been doing DWC for over ten years so I know the routine.
Growing in a DWC system is not difficult....but it does take a knack to get it down. You have to understand the complete picture to get from point A to B......once you achieve this, it is just a routine.
Donā??t believe everything you read......I do things that the experts say you cant do.
It is just a matter of practice makes perfect.
As stated by other posters.......to really come up with a bumper crop you have to put the effort in to achieve a good result.
If your system is set up right.......it only takes a few minutes a day to maintain a hydro setup, if your working on a small scale.
The items I use regularly are vita grow nutes, hygrozeme and PH down and fresh water.
Good luck and keep us posted on your system.

And make sure that for each rubbermaid the 4 plants are the same strain, so there aren't multiple strains fighting for different amounts of the nutes in them.
Like johnny said, a 10-20 gallon would be fine. Try shooting for one that'll hold at least 12 gallons of water leaving enough space from the lids and the netpots (if you use them).
