evenly space your # of plants by the optimal sq foot for your light.
1000 watt = 4 sq feet

Hi,
One square foot should be good. You def want them to just touch, not overlap but use all available space. Aero is good fast growth and you will want to prune the lower braches that won't get much light anyway. I always go by 1 sq ft per 1.5 foot vertical height. That is with areo and pruning. If you plan to top and grow bushes then maybe make a little more room. Did you build the system? Would love some pics.....good luck, PEaCe

thanks for the help. i am building a unit after looking at a few on here. i chose to go a different route though. i found two plastic storage containers that fit inside one another and "lock" in place. the top container is pretty much half as tall as the bottom which allows for a cavity below to hold the water and pump. ran some pvc in a way that looks like a blocked figure 8 (only way i can describe it) in the upper container and connected it to the pump. drilled holes and threaded in the misters to the pvc. finally drilled small holes in the bottom of the upper container to allow excess water to drain back into resevoir. only thing left is to cut holes in the lid for the plants and find a way to make the containers light proof (they are clear containers, all they had of that kind) probably gonna paint it black but not sure. i will post pics tonight when i get home.
