On some forums, people use SWIM to refer to "someone close" using a drug so they avoid any trouble with undercover members on the forum. Do you think that Someone Who Isn't Me (SWIM) is necessary here?... or is this a pretty safe place?
Thanks, 'been wondering.

I think any place that you don't have direct control over who can view your postings is a place where you should use the SWIM method.

Someone Who Isn't Me. Most people use this abbreviation when telling some story about them doing something unsavoury, to avoid reprimand.
SWIM IS USELESS if anything when someone says SWIM i right away think it is them as im sure cops would who patrol these kinds of boards.
You can hate me or whatever but this thread is a waste of space.
