E-Bay has two other lamps/panels that look somewhat promising for a small closet grow that I have yet to see reviewed anywhere.

Check these out and let me know what y'all think.

This is a 711 LED red/blue mix panel for $129:

711p Red/Blue LED 110-130V AC Panel Grow Light 30W=450W - eBay (item 140229058839 end time May-07-08 01:39:41 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/711p-Red-Blue-LED-110-130V-AC-Panel-Grow-Light-30W-450W_W0QQitemZ140229058839QQihZ004QQcategoryZ42225 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Then there are three different screw in LED lamps; a red , a blue and a mix that go for about $49 and have 42 high power LEDs:

High Power 42 SMT RED LED PAR38 Grow Light Budding - eBay (item 320244715294 end time Apr-30-08 17:30:43 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/High-Power-42-SMT-RED-LED-PAR38-Grow-Light-Budding_W0QQitemZ320244715294QQihZ011QQcategoryZ42 225QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

We have several good grow diaries here with LED but we need to spread the word on which products work/don't work. Not say they don't work, that has been proven(Many thanks to Snstealth)!!!

A great resource for seeing real results is Experiments with Hydroponics, Aeroponics, and LED Grow Lighting (http://www.greenpinelane.com) where the host Steve tests all the lighs available and is building his own.

He tests them on tomatoes, pepper, cucumbers and such and is open to questions from members.

well I have tested 3-4 different LED lights....on weed, not veggies. And as far as pre-made plug-n-play, the procyon is the only one out there growing decent buds...all those Ebay LEDs are shit...wont even keep a plant alive....If you not paying a couple hundred dollars, its not working. Even buying the proper spectrum LEDs and building one yourself will be a few hundred dollars....

That is the same word that a grower friend told me. Of the procyon and the smartlamp, if you need real wattage you will have to go for the smartlamp as it the only one out there that has enough power for any real quantity.

Anyone out there who could show us real test results?

A few Questions:

1.) Is the Procyon the best LED setup on the market to date?
2.) What kind of heat difference is there between, say, and LED box vs. an HPS
3.) Noticeable electricity usage difference between these two aswell? How drastic???

There is just so much to read on every LED thread that it's hard to find what you want to know...

And I must say sNs, I do like your previous Avatar better
